Ata is a figurehead of Frankfurt’s legendary clubbing scene, a founder of the famous Robert Johnson and most recently opening the AMP club and bar, and here invites us behind the decks to show his favourite B-SIDES for Telekom Electronic Beats TV. While Ata recently sold off his record collection, he’s kept a selection of his gold-standard vinyl classics that he dusts off here.

einer derjenigen der in Frankfurt die Techno und Houseszene nach vorne gebracht hat und die Stadt zum Kultort werden ließ. Unvergessen für mich sein legendärer Plattenladen Delirium wo man an der Seite u.a. von Sven Väth und Marc Spoon, die Platten einkaufte. Er steht für mich aber auch u.a dafür, wie sich die große Techno und House Szene systematisch in Frankfurt aufgelöst hat..... Eine unvergessene Zeitepoche, die nur diejenigen nachvollziehen können, die sie erlebt haben!! Danke Ata!!

1200AMBroadcast Mein Gedanke. Dieser Mann ist ganz groß und obwohl er selten lächelt während er auflegt, reißt es einen immer mit und man spürt seine Begeisterung für gute Musik. Er ist Künstler durch und durch und wir hier in Frankfurt und Umgebung haben ihm viel zu verdanken!

Bostich, the outro of every single one of my DJ-sets back in the 80’s is a favorite B-side of the owner of my all time favorite club RJ. Really an epiphany ... like Solid Pleasure was.

A Posh Boy release! That’s got to be the last label I would have guessed would have shown up here. It’s mostly early LA Punk Rock releases. And then another early ‘80s release with Yellow right after Christiana F. That’s when I was hitting up every show I could in LA. Great stuff good times.

They were on their first live tour (which will continue) and in the press / tv everywhere just some months ago, at least in Germany. DJ Hell recently released a remake of Bostich and so on.
