Atari Flashback Portable (2019 Dollar General) 

I love it too! I got the console for christmas

My opinion: Atari 2600 games never get old and are never boring. This little handheld really looks cool. Just too bad we don't have any available where we are. Walmart, Best buy, EB Games. None of these stores has it. I believe this version is exclusive to Dollar General.

Have them check behind the counter if you dont see them on the shelf.

Yeah, I can't find my Flashback portable right now either. But we're still finishing moving and there is still a lot to pack as well as a lot to unpack.

They were exclusive to dollar general. The only way I know of is keep looking online and such, maybe some thrift shops in your area, flea markets, etc..

I dont play it often so dont know about battery life. You do have to provide your own SD card for it.

Check your local Dollar General stores, they were exclusive to them.

It was only sold at Dollar General as a exclusive. If you go into the store, they are usually behind the counter. Thats where I got mine :)

No, you have to supply one. but they are fairly easy to find and cheap as you dont need a large one to put on the games on.

The past three models I opened up, did not see anything like that :P

@@SVT512 Ohhhh, now I see: by "these devices", I didn't mean Flashback Portables specifically, but just low-cost consumer electronics in general. I've never even owned a Flashback system of any type. Anyway, a manufacturer might have one IC design manufactured to accommodate features that may or may not be used in every model (or at all). There are many examples of this in other systems, and it's a way some mods come to be. For example, the Atari Lynx processor features cassette tape inputs and addresses related to data cassette input, though this ultimately wasn't a feature that was offered to end-users. It seems to me, the early "Flashback" systems also had some of these unutilized features, or at least in-roads for modification.

normally 40 dollars unless you got it on Black Friday 2019 when it was 25 dollars.

ArcadeUSA Sorry - I think I inferred incorrectly! Since it was a 2019 issue, I read in that you probably got it from the secondary market. My bad! We don’t have Dollar Generals in my area so I guess I was hoping I’d be able to pick one up elsewhere. Maybe in a few months!
