@@arcadeuk Yes it working :) It had various faults when I picked it up a few years back. The main issue was the 74145's connected to the switch input circuits, they had high failure rates, and generally caused the game to lock up. After replacing them when they failed I finally shotgunned the remaining ones which has led to good reliability. I need to do a flipper rebuild as they are a bit weak, other than, it' a great piece of Atari history, and yeah the artwork is so cool.
@@_smarty There will be some 74145 action later on in the repair 🤣 Funny I have never had to buy any in 20+ years of fixing pins and vids, so they must pretty much only be used on Atari pins
@@_smarty Is there any chance you have a waveform from one of the switch decoder outputs, or do you remember anything about it (i.e. is it a regular or irregular pulse?)
Yes, the Atari manual has a pretty good "theory of operation" and lots of schematics, so it is very helpful. The only problem is that Atari don't give you a single overall schematic, rather they break it up into smaller chunks, unfortunately this means its not always easy to see how everything connects
