Fantastic review couple of things I didn’t like was the lights flashing and horn and bell not correct other then that. Great locomotive. I need to change horn and E bell. I pulled 5-6 cars up 2-2.5 % grade at the club was impressed with the pulling power. Thanks for sharing have a great day 😎🚂🫵
Magnificent catches of the model Athearn Via Rail P42 train being unboxed and seeing it running, I like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, I subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thanks for another informative video. I was never a great fan of the mud missile, but I guess we don’t have much of a choice. After hearing the sounds, I would probably change the sound decoder too. I also ordered the wrap version # 911. Looking forward to having it finally arrive. Great video. I’m a VIA fan as well. Keep them coming. I’m running both 2% and 3% grades so I guess I’ll never hit the 140km mark. Cheers!
I don't think you have a good understanding of how to use the Athearn/ Tsunami decoder. Read the manual . One cv in particular that helps low speed of is 215 . Take a track voltage reading and input that into 215.
Nope. I normally use and prefer esu. Athearn never included a book with the loco. Not sure if that’s normal. I don’t normally buy Athearn either. Everything takes time to get used to. Maybe it’s not user friendly?
@@GoViaorgohome There should have been a blue operations Manuel that list all the function assignments and the entire list of cv's . Also is a list of prime movers, horns and compressors that can be assigned. Cv 3&4 are your acc & decc to put a stop to the sudden start / stop. You ESU guys take the time to program a decoder off track thru their software but don't take the time to use whats already available in Tsunami. I can usually have mine done in about 10 min. And have them crawling around one MPH. Play with it some.
@@GoViaorgohome Not trying be an a-hole or start trouble, just trying to help. contact Athearn or look on there website for the ops manual, It's the same for all. I like soundtaxx because it is very user friendly. The alternating ditch lights are a simple cv change. Give it fair chance to get to your liking.
