The city of Athens is the capital of Greece and has been an important center of culture since ancient times. I arrived from Thessaloniki by train and stayed in a hotel near the Acropolis for a few days. On the first day, I visited the Acropolis Hill and surrounding areas such as Plaka and pedestrian streets and alleys, walked around the Acropolis hill along the parks, the Zappeion Hall and garden, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch completed under the Roman emperor of Hadrian.
