Athens Acropolis Museum 

Athens Acropolis Museum, not to be confused with the Greek Archeological Museum, is a newly built structure elevated above excavations adjacent to the Acropolis itself. This museum attempts to recreate the spacial arrangement once found on and around the Acropolis. In cooperation with the British Museum, frieze elements once stolen by Elgin and carted off to England, are presented as white plaster cast duplicates. International law would argue that its time for England to return these artifacts to where they were created. Athens had built a beautiful that exceeds the British Museum as a venue for their appreciation. This is a winter 2024 visit.
