First I want to say that everyone is entitled to their opinions. I myself don't like to predict records this early because I need to see who is and who isn't actually on the roster first. Second I need to see some real practices and a preseason game or two. Now that we have gotten that out the way. I could care less about what the Falcons have done in the past this is a new team, HC, Culture, and Stsrting QB. The same way you can't say we'll the Lions always suck during nope...not anymore they don't and Goff is playing some ball. That's the same way I feel about this Falcons team with Cousins at the helm. And Morris at HC and this New Shannahan/ McVey Offense. What everyone always fails to mention is that Kirk Cousins was averaging 291.4 passing yards a game. With a completion rate of 104. In 8 games, he already had 2331 passing yards, 18 TDs, and 5 ints before he went down to injury. Just in case you don't understand the math, Tua was second with 272 passing yards a game and finished the season with 4624 passing yard (which led the league) and 29 Tds Jared Golf was 2nd with 269.1 passing yards a game ending the season with 4575 passing yards and 30 TDs. Golf ended up signing a contact worth 212 million. Dak Prescott led the league with 36 TDs Kirk Cousins with 291.4 yard per game was on pace to lead the league with 4,954 passing yards and 38 TDs which would have won him MVP and 1st Team All Pro. Let that sink in. The Falcons are running the same offensive system that Cousins has been in his whole career. That's why Cousins wanted to came to Atl because he already knew the system and that's why Atlanta gave Cousins 180mil because everyone knows Kirk Cousins would have won MVP if he didn't get hurt. Who doesn't want an League MVP on their Roster. And to think he is going to fail in a system that he already knows and had MVP numbers in is just crazy talk literally. I find it hard to believe that he will lose games against Rookie QBs just cause. And if he does. Nobody predicts that out their mouths in front on respectable knowledgeable NFL insiders that MVP QBs will lose to Rookie QBs nobody. If it happens it happens but nobody bets that it will. It's a reason the NFL gave the Falcons 4 Prime time games that's because they have an 180Mil QB that would have won MVP last season of he didn't get hurt. Every real NFL analyst knows this. You don't mistakenly throw for 291.4 yards a game 18 TDs 2331 yards in 8 games. It's a reason Justin Jefferson loved Cousins didnt want him to leave and was an 1st Team All Pro WR with him as his QB Lets not do this people. This isn't Desmond Ridder or Mariota, or Justin Fileds at QB Cousins won 13 games in 2022 and backed that up with an MVP clip stat season. SMH folks really out here acting like they can't do math. If you throw for 4,2K plus passing yards a season 28 to 33 TDs that means 2 or 3 of your WR will have 1K+ seasons...and 10+ TDs.....don't get made at the messenger thats just the way math works. Somebody is getting them stats like it or not. The Falcons will score 28+points a game, it is what it is. That's 2.5 passing TDs a game and at least 2 Rushing TDs... You don't have to like it.

I'm sure you'll catch lots of flack for your picks, but I commend for the bold takes. And I'll be absolutely joyous if Atlanta does 10-7, this season. Going from 7 wins to 10 is a hell of a jump. 🏈💪

Fun fact and being in line that kirko will be 100%- this will be 3rd straight season that cousins will be in Philly in the very same week 2 in primetime for all 3 years as a conference opponents. Last year , a pretty good version of eagles couldn't stop viking pass game but viking defense was worse and that fumble/ goal line rule cost the vikes. I still think the falcons could've had the #1 pick of the draft( defensively) and passed. We'll see if Latu or Turner become a big difference in year one for their prospective teams. If falcons defense is top 16 , I can see them winning 11. This the NFL and there are no gimmies. I would've thought that NFL would ve had a falcon buc game in week 17 or 18. ** if bijon is the goods , I think Kirk's passer rating is through the roof. My only hedge is waiting to see if cousins is actually 100% of planting that foot and manipulating the pocket ( even as a pocket passer). If they were going to go offense, they could've gotten Odunze. This offense would be just plain stupid ( as in unstoppable)

*nightmare prediction* Tomlin humbles us, we handle business with Philly, we get annihilated by the chiefs, we play too angry against the 'aints and make mistakes, panic because we're 1-3, drop to 1-4 and we're playing desperately after that and end 5-12 and we set the record for fewest sacks in a season. Then a meteor hits Earth killing everyone but Tom Brady, Jameis Winston, the Kardashians and the Saints.

We suck as an organization. Dont ever forget we f###ing suck as an organization. Dont get your hopes up and you wont get let down. Had my hopes high af every season since 28-3 melt down with the exception ofArthur Smiths first season. And , i have been let down season after season.
