I Think what the Atlanta FED means is that covid19 put a wedge in its lever solution to prop up big businesses and has failed to see the greater wedge in wealth/income inequality between the rich and poor. The poor cant possible recover as quickly and for a longer period of time, only big businesses and stock markets do that using the FED levers.

capital needs to be taxed at the same rate as wage. problem solved. and every tax needs to be put into the mix. the sales tax paid by the bottom 7 % the abject poor who can least afford to pay is far more then what the top 1% pay in all the tax they pay. the reason of course is the use of the legal graft of the lobby . the rich have bought the system of government to favor them. its human nature . still the value of any government should be based on the standard of living of the whole population. for us the richest nation on earth to have so many below the poverty line is the biggest proof of failed government . we are in the end our brothers keeper .

Pelosi should have taken a vote on the $1.8 trillion White House package and it would have passed the House and been sent over to McConnell. If the Senate passed it then we'd finally have a large stimulus bill and if they didn't then we could vote them out and get new Senators. So demand your stimulus check from Pelosi

@Michelle Neville Trump sent 28 million Americans on unemployment $1,800 each with his executive order in September. This came from $44 billion that FEMA had that was just sitting there; helping no one. Some of those 28 million might vote for Trump since Congress failed them and Trump helped them. The repubs have twice offered to send 180 million Americans $1,200 stimulus checks and Pelosi has twice rejected this idea(once in August and once in September). So if Trump can grab $300 billion in an agency that already has the money away from the Treasury; then Trump could do a round of $1,200 stimulus checks for 180 million Americans who qualify. Some of these 180 million voters might also vote for Trump. In a close election; if Trump gets 3 million voters to swing their vote to him; that could get him the win. Maybe Pelosi's strategy is flawed and her uncompromising approach will help Trump get re-elected?

@Michelle Neville No; that's just wrong. It's $1,200 stimulus checks for all adults who make $75,000 or less and it's $1,2000 for our kids. Pelosi only gives our kids $500, but she babbles on and on about helping the children

@Michelle Neville It's really best to get down to basics without all the personal stuff. I'm sure there are dems who also benefited from Cares Act 1. The repubs $1.8 trillion package is excellent. It's not perfect but it's excellent and very close to most of Pelosi's $2.2 trillion plan. The repubs offer $1,200 stimulus checks to adults and $1,000 for our kids; all dependents. Pelosi offers $1,200 stim checks for adults and only $500 for our kids; so surprisingly the repubs offer more for kids. With unemployment the repubs offer $400/week for 18 weeks backdated to Sept 5th. Pelosi's plan offers $600 week for 20 weeks backdated also to Sept 5th. So Pelosi offers more for unemployment. School aid is $300 billion from repubs and $430 billion from Pelosi. School aid, covid money, PPP loans and most others are all very close from both sides and both offer rental assistance. Pelosi should have just voted on this and if it passed then it's on the Senate to also pass. If they don't then vote out the ones who block it. And if Biden and Dems win Senate then do more in 2021.
