It is difficult to know what is happening since you were not treated at our Center. Sometimes the results are more apparent after 3- 6 months especially if your fibroids were large, however we always recommend you contact the IR doctor who performed your procedure for a follow up appointment and review an MRI with contrast post-Procedure.
@@jaynel5656 yes I have contacted My doctor . He asked me to come to the clinic ., his clinic is an another city but I'm looking forward to completing 6 months 6 months will be completing in June
I had the UFE in June 2022 and I didn't get any relief either. I am in the process of getting another MRI to see if the fibroids strunk but I doubt it not all this bleeding. I had a myomectomy in 2017. I am trying to keep my uterus but I teach and can't keep going to the bathroom every hour to change a pad 😔 but if I don't I usually have to go home because it will come through my clothes. This is no way to live!
I'm scared because I need this so bad and I need a UFE I'm not wanting a hysterectomy. But because of my condition, they had given me a certain medication to take like contraceptive pills and they said Ibuprofen also, which is so stupid because now I have large blood clots on my lungs and now they have me on blood thinners. I'm bedridden, I can't work or walk around. I'm out of breath. And because Im on blôod thinners, I doubt anyone with be able to do any kind of surgery.
You could still be considered for UFE. Birth control pills are why you developed pulmonary emboli (ie blood clots in your lungs). If this is your first blood clot you may be on blood thinners for only 3 months. If you’re interested in UFE, get a 2nd opinion from an Interventional Radiologist in your area. Good luck
I did speak to a specialist at Stanford he said that I would need a UFE to control the bleeding since I am on blood thinners. Immediately after the UFE I will get a hysterectomy my Utero is not worth saving. Its a tumor of a 22 week Embryo. Im in a lot of pain and bleeding a lot. I hope I can be helped quick. 🥺
