The Atlantic Bonito season is in full swing! This fish are chewing hard as they make their way up North. We were fortunate enough to have a weather window of about 2 hours before the storms rolled in. We had light winds, calm seas and plenty of non-stop action. I started the morning off using a Rapala X-Rap. I landed a few fish while it was still dusk. After the sun came up, these fish just made the water boil all morning long. With the light wind, it made the seas as flat and calm as you could ask for. So, I brought out the topwater Nomad, aka Chug Norris. This was the golden ticket this morning. Not only are these fish drag pullers, but these also taste fantastic. Maybe next video I'll do a catch, clean and cook video. Stay tuned. My tackle breakdown goes as follows...
7' 6" Tsunami Carbon Sheild Med Fast Action
Daiwa BG 3000 with 20lb braid
Live Bottom 20lb Fluro Leader (About 3 feet)
Nomad Chug Norris in the Mackerel Color
