Hurts my soul to report this experience on getting into Atlantis.. Just a heads up so you all know how it works now, was chaos. Still had fun once we were in.
There really isn't an excuse for the lack of order. They know when cruise ships are in port as well as holidays. They should be staffing accordingly. They offer this all the time, so I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed. We didn't buy the ticket, just visited the hotel, on our last cruise bc there are 5 of us, and I wasn't spending $1k on it.
All the places I dreamed of going to have seemed to go down drastically. It makes me much more cognizant of where I spend my $. I want to do a Carnival Bahamas cruise for Xmas 2025.
Great Info Kyle. We too went on a cruise last year (RCCL) and bought the tickets through them at a cheaper price but had to deal with the line outside as well. We burned about an hour 1/2 with this new setup for a day pass. One thing you can do is use your phone to quickly bypass the waver line as they have QR codes posted that you can scan and quickly fill out instead of waiting in the line for the (guy in blue with the tablets) and then you can move to the check in line for your wrist bands.

I need to say, Casey seems so comfortable on camera. I know it can take some getting used to so it’s so great to see her just being normal, it’s good to watch!
we purchased through Comfort Inn at the end of Feb - I bought choice privileges points for $180 USD and $100 taxes paid at Comfort Inn. you have to check in at Comfort inn, they give you a pink card to take over to Atlantis to get the wrist band - you go in Atlantis and downstairs to get your wrist bands, there were 3 families in front of us on Feb 28, so much shorter line - you need to have all 4 people on your Comfort Inn reservation to get 4 wrist bands.
My son and I just came off the Disney Wish yesterday--which also went to Nassau......The trip was amazing!! I havent finished the video yet but we didnt pay for an island excursion beforehand and we found the Bahamas area very chaotic---people everywhere and no one to guide you anywhere----We saw Atlantis but didnt even know they had a water park!!! We went to the shops by the harbor and had ice cream and we saw lots of super huge, expensive yachts!!! Took a boat ride for $5 to cross the bay from port entry---they said on a sign the beach was 15 minutes away----when we got across---no signs to the beach---no one had any idea where to go after asking multiple people---finally gave up on the beach!!! Still just nice to be in the Bahamas!!! The next day at Castaway Cay was perfect/amazing though!!!!
My wife leaves the TV on. So instead of hearing people outside of our room. I listen to the shows on TV all night. I can't sleep with it on, she can't sleep without it.
Atlantis is a fun waterpark. So glad you can share this experience with Casey now (not solo). Looks like you had a great time. It's probably a good idea to repeat, and repeat again, that you are on a cruise ship excursion to the staff and not hotel guests.
I mean…you aren’t always the quietest person on a cruise ship…just remember that when you’re walking down the hall after enjoying some drinks and yelling whoop whoop…lol
I tried the comfort in hack earlier this year, but after fees and taxes the total came out to $460 and there were only 2 of us.. so maybe worth it for 4 people
They changed their policy so same day 1 night doesn't get the Atlantis pass. So I guess getting 2 nights? Did you have to go to the comfort inn and check in and then go to Atlantis?
i'm kinda surprised the research that you did for this cruise/Atlantis didn't reveal that you needed to go to this window, and only this window, to pick up your wristbands for the water park...also surprised the research didn't showcase the Comfort Inn hack...two very important and key details to make this experience at Atlantis smooth and cheap!
@bradmassey4186 someone else said you go to comfort inn to get your tickets, then go to Atlantis and go downstairs somewhere and there was way less people in line to get wrist bands. But all 4 people have to be listed on room reservation to get 4. Don't know how far in advance you have to do it or if it still works. Someone else said it came to 480 total.
Kyle, Really wished to accepted some good advice to see “Cabbage Beach” next door to Atlantis? It’s ranked in top 20 FREE beaches in The Caribbean. I highly doubt that $5.00 cab fare will continue. You went on a holiday weekend and spring break where travel demand is higher. You spent more time on your blog last time at Atlantis. All the beaches included. I think Casey missed out on other areas there unless off camera you walked around more.
Casey say It is the Mary Kate and Ashley movie love it and I went there in the early 2000s and couldn’t go to the water park because we were coming off a cruise ship for the day but did get to walk around

Please note that you should price out that COMFORT INN benefit of including Aquaventure passes. The rooms are often over $200 a night and they charge like 21% in taxes and a hefty "resort fee" / "service charge". You may save money on 4 people but on 2 it may not be worth the run over to check in!!!. Great video and glad you included the ticketing booth HASSLE! They ticket everyday so you would think they would have perfected it by now and made it a better experience. Seems you thought the $400 for 2 people was worth it. We are enjoying the Casey reporting as well! I really like when you include things that bother you like soft mattresses! Cruise does look like fun however! ENJOY
Have to remember you went on a busy holiday vs when you went before. I am sure also as Summer starts it will be busy times as well. Remember people are making up trips that they couldn’t take due to COVID. People are more comfortable about traveling agin.
Thats so frustrating. You would think that with how long they have been open that they would have a system in place. I wonder if they just try to delay entry so that they lose some of the crowd inside.
my feeling exactly: this Atlantis Water Park has been operating for quite a while. Very suspicious. My best guess? reason is to slow down all the cruisers so the people STAYING THERE (paying for the room) will be able to enjoy THEIR vacation water park and get on all the rides.
Howdy cruisers 👋 Atlantis is so gorgeous & the water park looks awesome - good to be back. Having that new camera adds a whole new perspective. That's frustrating when you get contradictory information then lines when paying that amount - I don't have the patience for that.

Do yall sleep with a white noise machine? I can't sleep without one. There's apps you can download for your phone to make white noise too. It helps drown out all the noise that can keep you up
Atlantis used to be Merv Griffin’s Paradise Island Resort. We stayed there and saw Merv Griffin and Eva Gabor in the casino. Before you were born! You probably don’t know who they were! On another trip, we walked around Atlantis while it was under construction. Maybe we weren’t supposed to be there but nobody stopped us. Then we stayed there one time-way too expensive and the restaurants are so expensive.
Thanks for the great review! 1) what time did you end up going back, you took a cab? 2) The comfort inn now says same day 1 night does not include Atlantis pass, so feels like there really isn't a savings. You agree now they removed that loophole?
You'll let it "slide" LOL Really stings to spend that much money on an experience and you are spending a long time in line just to get in! The new camera was made for that water park! I had heard about the Comfort Inn hack before was wondering if it was still in effect. How long was that "lazy" river experience? Seems like a ton of fun! Thanks for keeping us in the loop! Atlantis Aqua venture Water Park Was A Hot MESS for me too, as my friend got hurt and hurt her knee. They wouldn't even provide a band aid. It was so bad she still has a scar on it today from the rough sides and bottoms of the man made concrete slides
Hey Kyle, if you ever get a chance to go back up north this summer, stop by Holiday World and Splashin Safari, in Santa Claus, Indiana. I’ve been going there since I was very very little and it’s a great independent family owned park. Love you Kyle
You went at a busy time. I never go Holiday weeks or the 3rd week of February when schools are closed. Huge mistake. Of course there will be alot of kids on board
Comfort Inn hack saves a few $$ but close to the same amount you'd pay for day passes. It sounded great until the fees and 21% taxes added on top of room fee for 2 people. Also depends on when you travel. Some dates you'll pay more. Darn it! I was hopeful. Tickets for 2 people are $219.00 pp, w. pre-sail discount. I thought the room hack at Comfort Inn would save me at least $150. 😞
Why do some people pretend Nassau is great or good? IT ISNT! The locals HATE tourists and Americans. Ive been going for over 15 from cruise ships and I don't even bother leaving the ship. Hateful and sketchy people every time!
I just went in today. Let me tell you I’m the day pass for $220 it’s Absolutely not worth it. Most of the slides were closed. They are severely understaffed and during my crazy river experience I fell and hit my hips heel and knee… only to get up and get slammed by another person. I was “rescued” by the staff that saw me fall. I do not recommend it if all you want to do is the water park. Six flags has way better water parks and for $220 you can upgrade to a platinum pass that will get you into every slide with no wait and the slides aren’t closed.
You can stay at comfort suites get free breakfast and use the waterpark everyday for free. I have stayed there beach and coral tower. I love Atlantis I just went there in May. I get my wristband from the towel station you show the hotel key. Also I never paid for a locker I was able to leave my bag at my chair. The people are extremely rich they don’t need to steal.
We stayed at the Atlantis Royal Towers the summer right after they opened those new towers. Beautiful balcony looking at ocean. That was back in maybe the year 2000 I think. The only people that were at the hotel or water park were the guest staying at one of the hotel towers. We had 2 rooms for our family and paid a fortune for the week. This made WDW look cheap. I would have had a fit if cruise ships were there, with the people coming to the hotel and the water parks making this so crowded. This was the big reason for staying at this super expensive resort especially The Royal Towers. Unless I’m missing something and this is what’s happening now this has just guaranteed we will never be going to vacation at Atlantis again.
My older brother is at Atlantis with his family right now. He went a couple years ago and couldn’t wait to go back but you’re having a good time and it goes to show you to listen to people. But you and Casey are having a good time. That’s all that matters and I enjoy watching it. Good job, Kyle and Casey.
Yeah what the heck you should just be able to show your ticket and they hand it to you quick on your way in or something or you can get it somewhere inside the park they need a better system lol
Lots of kids...and not Disney kids...😮 Open buffet...always busy buffet. Afterall. that cruise was packed, so every activity will be crowded. Looks like great weather. Great hack about the free 4 passes.

I totally agree with you. Unfortunately nothing will ever change until people stop going there because of the bad service and force them to change. And good luck with that happening. Just like Disney.
