Check out this new Atlas Fallen trailer, outling the upcoming fantasy action-RPG's combat system. In Atlas Fallen's broken world, seize the divine power of a mysterious Gauntlet and wield heroic abilities to defeat a tyrannic, almighty god. It's up to you to tame the sands and shape them into three powerful weapons that grow larger as you build Momentum to unleash the Gauntlet's full power. This new trailer gives ua a detailed breakdown of the game's combat, from armor sets and upgrades to character's momentum gauge and idols. Atlas Fallen will be released on August 10, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

"One of the most unique combat features is the momentum gauge" ahhhh, yes. The most unique combat feature that has existed probably since the first hack and slash game was developed.

It is the most unique in that you take more damage the more the momentum bar gets full, so you have to decide when to use the special moves based on the damage you want to take. I’ve never seen or heard a game with that mechanic without a “ring” or something that just had a blanket percentage added to your output damage with a incoming damage penalty.
