Went to the Canaveral National Seashore at Playalinda Beach to see the launch attempt for the Boeing Starliner. This is as close as you can get to the public - only a few miles from the pad, the 2nd pad south of launch complex 39A and 39B, used by Space X and ULA, respectively. Unfortunately, it was scrubbed - very predictable since Boeing and ULA have so much riding on this, and their launches are so far apart that most of the talented engineers probably would prefer to be working for a company that actually was getting things done, so that leaves them with the leftovers. You've seen the results if you've followed their "progress" and budget and time overruns. Hopefully, they don't kill anybody, but most who came out to watch were not so sure this would not happen either.
