If they actually put in effort and combined Portable content plus more into FES as a base it’d be incredible. I’d even pay full AAA for it. Imagine male protag with male party social links, decline romance, female MC in FES with running around, cutscenes, etc. female mc the answer, Margaret’s door but in FES style. But noooo. And at the very minimum they could have added cutscenes to portable and just attached the answer. I’d rather them be available vs not but it’s dumb

It's crazy that a ps2 game, sounds, looks and encapsulates the totality of a persona/smt game better than a 2023 port with litterally thousands of times more powerful hardware.

The reason Raidou got removed was due to his outfit looking similar to a Japanese Imperialist, and could be considered offensive over there; he was also not in the Korean (and Chinese) versions of Nocturne. Don't know why it can't be added back in, but the files for the Raidou outfit and music are still in the game's files, so it'll probably be easy to mod back in.

They took out that costume from P5 because of the hatred between Japan & South Korea. If you don’t know, Japan was HORRIBLE during WWII towards other Asian countries. From the Rape of Nanjing in China (Where they literally had target practice with infants & stabbed pregnant women) to constant oppression over the Koran people, even forcing them to eat other people & covering it as whale meat. This is also why an episode of Pokémon was banned in Korea that featured a samurai warrior since, again, trauma & disdain for Japan & its culture. It was so bad, in fact, that China has a Nazi memorialized for saving the Chinese people from as many Japanese soldiers as they could. That’s when you know they f**ked up.

Ok, as a Developer, lemme say you this: Losing an Engine doesn't mean you lose the assets. Havnig a bad code doesn't mean you can hire competent people to re-write it in a modern way. Kingdom Hears 1 didn't had the source code anymore for the SAME REASON as P3Fes, the engine doesn't exist anymore. Still they had the assets, they got it, re-modeled it and re-made the entire game from scratch. To me, the 3k people playing P3P only wants to play as FemC since she is happier than MC. And I know Atlus thought that would be easier than remaking P3Fes to the standards of P4 Golden, which was the bare minimum this game deserved seeing it's the sole foundation that made P4 so good to begin with. So yeah, they could if they wanted, and I hate when gamers try to defend this absurd situation just because a few of them got what they wanted: FemC in HD. To me, that's the sole reason anyone would like P3P, even with the battles enhancements, with a mod you can essentially negate the flaws of P3Fes. That's it, really. Even some of the things they did, such as making fusion abilities Items in the game. That's just dumb to me in Portable. Either way, I think if Atlus wanted, they could LITERALLY ported and enhanced FES, AND added a Third Campaign with FemC with the P3P style since they celarly don't want to remake the models for her social links. Either way, yeah, I'm annoyed at it, and frankly, to anyone thinking a P3 Remake will happen, to me that's Coping. I'm a fan, a BIG fan of P3, to me, it's the best out of the three games. BUT, I'm not delusional. Atlus won't make a Remake, Unless P3P Sells outstandingly well, which I doubt. Again, a LOT of people will be turned off with the Visual Novel style that doesn't fit with the dialogs, and won't get the game. After what Capcom did with Resident Evil 3 Remake, I won't expect the best of any game OR remake. Especially from ATLUS. As a Side Note: FANS, THAT WERE MAKING THE HD VERSION OF P3P AND P3FES, Will add their REMADE TEXTURES to the P3P on Steam. Still, as good as that sounds: I always find this a RED FLAG. If we need to fix it, why they would ever port a game with the best they could do?

Alright so, The Raidou Kuzunoha DLC stuff got erased from the Korean version thanks to Raidou's costume looking too similar to Imperial Japanese uniforms, and in history Japan wasn't too kind to Korea in the past, so they removed it (including Raidou's items). As of why it isnt simply in the other versions or as free DLC outside of Korea? I have no clue.

Atlus has posted addressing the audio issues but didn't give a timeline for when the update would come. Kinda gives reason to wonder why they didn't just release golden on consoles then p3p at a later date Edit: update comes from a leaker who supposedly worked on the ports, so rumor at best.

At least when Atlus fails us, the Modders will come to shine

I’m reminded of the problems of the SMT 3 PC port, it’s backlash, and subsequent patches. This isn’t a new thing for Atlus, and I think (hope) they’ve gotten the idea by now that PC ports are good (cuz they get more money from an untapped audience) but being too lazy about it is bad (backlash and bad publicity which they seem to not like). As for all the benefits / improvements people are talking about, I never expected those in the first place. Atlus has been toying with remaking Persona 3 and 4 for a long time now (as shown in consumer polls) so I’m sure we’ll see those in the coming years and all this controversy will be forgotten in the long run (not saying that’s good, just what I predict will happen)

Ryugi's shoes originally had the Imperial rising sun flag on them, which also had to be censored in Korea. This is also why Raidou had to be downloaded for free on Steam, as you're not allowed to have Raidou in Korea and China due to his outfit, a Taisho era school uniform, historically being styled after imperial military clothes. It's just like how In the JoJo games, the European version had the character Stroheim shirtless instead of wearing his SS uniform due to the game being set for release in Germany

Honestly, while I have some mixed feelings on P3P’s content, I also have a lot of love and nostalgia for it. It was the game that introduced me to the Persona and SMT series, and was a game that helped me personally during a rough patch in my life. So to see a game that means an awful lot to me get such a botch job of a port, that I was genuinely looking for to re-experiencing, it just hurts all the more. That people are coping saying “this is why we need a full remake” or “this is Atlus testing the water for a remake” is also just saddening.

While not Persona, Soul Hackers 2 was also released in a weird state espicially for last gen consoles and has had several patches to improve performance and fix certain mechanics like being able to sprint. I have a weird feeling they've gotten too complacent in the last few years and makes me wonder what future holds with Persona 6 and if that game will release with many criticisms

To provide some context to the Raidou DLC being slashed from the Korean version, from what I understand it’s due to bad blood between Korea and Imperial Japan (which the Raidou outfits are based on). It’s the same reason the Almighty and Rising Sun symbol on Ryuji’s shows were slashed as well. From what (admittedly little) I understand, Korea really hates anything to do with Imperial Japan because of past conflicts which the Japanese government has and continues to downplay or even outright deny the severity of. No clue why they couldn’t just make it free DLC in other regions though.

Thank you so much for not dismissing the subpar nature of the P3 port. I got into Persona 3 last year because of the movies and I was elated when the port was announced, yet now I am so bummed by all of the feedback I have been hearing. I do not want new fans to look down on P3 because of this port being of lower quality than the 4 and 5 ones. If they do not like it at its best, that is fine. Yet for the rerelease to be worst than both of the older versions? That is so sad, especially as someone heavily impacted by Persona 3.

The idea of taking the artistic elements/game script of FES and Portable, and throwing them into the P5R engine, seems similar to the Nier Replicant situation. Assign some B team to it, I don't know. I'm no expert on game development, but it kind of feels like the two hardest parts are already done. Trials of Mana - a game widely considered to be a bit of a cheap, basic remake compared to the big budget of FF7R - still got a better remake with more care and attention than what Persona 3 got, and that was going from 16 bit sprite art to 3D. And that game, while it was great, was nowhere near as impactful as P3. What a shame.

I really just want Persona 1 and 2 back, i love the modern games, mostly, but i really wish that Atlus can finally listen to some of us and rerelease the games with way more things added.

Honestly glad so many Persona/SMT RU-vidrs are speaking up about the botched P3P port (let alone having no alternatives for those that prefer FES). I'm hoping Atlus will take this to heart and fix P3P.

The subject of Imperial Japan is very touchy in this part of the world, especially in Korea where there have been protests due to the Japanese government downplaying the atrocities during WW2. This is also why Raidou was removed in the Korean and Chinese versions of the SMT Nocturne remaster

And thus, I emulated the PSP version on PPSSPPP and didn't give Atlus a damn cent. What an absolute failure of a release.

Atlus could have used interns to manually alter the images in all the places where it looks wrong. And honestly i am nearly certain they do have the original files and they could have just re rendered them. As for the audio, that too!

Atlus really wanted me to pay $60 for a game I bought for the ps5 not even a year prior so I could play with an extra 30 fps

One good thing this P3P port did is finally localizing the game's text to multiple languages, like French, Spanish, and more. Even if they turn out to be fine at best, it's still more options to experience the game than the usual Atlus choice of "Japanese, English, or f*ck you". Also, on the gameplay side, I don't understand why manual skill inheritance isn't a thing in this port, considering Atlus were forced to add it to the Nocturne remaster after release, because people complained about it.

Eternal Punishment re-release was apparently really good......And they didnt give it to us. Although now there is a fan translation.

Actually the removal of the noises shadows make when your a higher level than them is an upgrade imo I absolutely HATED that noise...

i find it so wild that people seem to take issue with people expecting the modern port/remaster of persona 3 portable to be visually/audibly *better* than the original. i understand that for a lot of people, this will probably be the best they can get and i'm sure they'll still enjoy it regardless, but they deserve better.

I'm new to persona and I find this very disrespectful in a way. It's like they didn't care much about the people who loved this series to a passion. I hope that they try and fix these issues with an update but I find it hard to believe they will. Maybe if this gets enough attention they may do something, but I still have doubts.

The main thing that bums me out is the fact that I don’t get to play the Answer with quality of life changes for Persona 3. Originally we weren’t able to give the SEES crew direct commands and it took away from the experience (and the grind fest that it was) . Not to mention a lot of people are in the dark about what happens to the MC when the game “ends” in P3P. These other issues only disappoints me even more.

If you ask me, ATLUS dropped the ball with P3 at the very moment they decided to port P3P instead of P3FES. It's not because I hate Portable or something like that, quite the contrary, I find both Portable and FES as alternative experiences with their own pros and cons, but rather because Portable wasn't design to be played on non-potable hardware, and there was very little room for improvement, both in graphics and gameplay, contrary to FES, which had more potential for improvement in every possible aspect. Looks like I'm sticking to emulators for a long while.

Its so sad that this even got released in this state. I refunded it for now. If they fix it, I will give it another shot. I really did like the unlocked fps, it was cool for this game. But this is just not okay by any stretch of the imagination.

I still want HD remasters for DDS 1+2, Raidou 1+2, SMT 1, 2, if, Persona 1 and both 2s, etc. but hope they do a better job on future projects.

I'm glad I started the Persona series with P4G on PC. That came out at a perfect time for me, during my Megaten binge of 2020. I've also really been enjoying P5R on Switch. It's a shame P3P is the odd one out, especially since I previously had a poor experience playing that game on an emulator, and was looking forward to being able to play it in an official, streamlined manner.

As someone who is basically still a newbie too the series, (P5 under my belt), but with knowledge to the other series, it's actually really mind blowing how deep this ATLUS "Port" rabbit hole goes

Pretty sure that the real reason why Atlus didn't wanna port p3 properly is that fes was made with renderware and that shit has a dead license + Having to animate all of femc's exclusive game cutscenes like unique sls, fmvs and the inaba trip was too much time and money spent on a port to sega. Golden was recreated on a new engine on psvita so porting that one had no issues, they couldn't release even an emulated fes and portable together because of the renderware license, other games like sonic heroes are also not on steam because of it.

When SMT III Nocturne HD released in Japan, it was full of bugs, long load times, bad audio compression and complete lack of QoL features like manual skill inheritance. It was actually patched before the English release fixing most of these issues. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for P3P

Since Nocturne HD has the same audio issue I'm assuming they just straight up did not keep the original recordings/mixes of the older games and are just reusing the compressed versions for PS2/PSP since they didn't want to re-record anything apparently. We just have to hope that if they ever port DDS or Raidou to steam we won't keep having this issue.

Honestly, as somone for whom the remake of P3P is my first time playing it, I didn't find any of the issues to be noticeable enough to impact my enjoyment of the game. I found the more stripped back, visual novel style, presentation to actually be an improvement over the free roaming of 4&5 and I can confidently say that it's my favourite in the series, flaws and all

That’s a real shame. I got into persona when p4 came to steam, and that started a long stream of dominoes that eventually lead to me finding this channel. P3 is the only one of the new gen personas that I haven’t played. I was looking forward to the steam release but now it looks like I’m going to wait some time longer. Hope it gets an adequate patch soon.

As a newbie to P3, I'm enjoying the remaster. I know many wanted a port of Fes, but I'm honestly fine with portable. I don't mind the visual novel style even though many hate it. I personally think it does a fine job presenting the story. But I do agree that some elements don't work as well in the visual novel style. For the record I'm watching the Fes cutscenes as I'm playing the game for a comparison. To give an example, the opening of the game where we first see the protagonist and Yukari. Seeing the protag's lack of reaction to the dark hour, and Yukari's panic, and hesitation to pull the trigger sets the mood better than the visual novel style. I think they should've add the animated cutscenes into the remaster, and I do agree that it should've had other quality of life changes like the skill selection. Despite that I won't let it hinder my enjoyment of the game. Also in regards to why Portable got ported instead of Fes, apparently Portable sold more copies.

Yeah I’m playing through Persona 3 for the first time right now and I’m really enjoying it a lot, but it sucks that I have to look up the cutscenes online, that I can’t travel around as I do in all the other games. Also it sucks that I won’t be able to play “The Answer” and will have to watch it online or something else.

P4Gs PC port is a great remaster that got me into megaten. P5R might have gotten me into it if I waited for a deep sale on Steam (like what I'm doing now). P3P over FES? I might have not given SMT a chance.

Sounds to me ATLUS could not uncompress the sound or update the audio files so that it's the original uncompressed tracks for P3P.

About to finish the game and you hit the nail exactly on the head. Its a great game and my personal favorite in the series. I shouldnt be tabbing into a youtube playlist with the vastly superior cutscenes. AND THE AUDIO I've noticed that not ALL the sounds are so awfully compressed. It almost makes it worse that a sound as terrible sounding as a shadow dying is so frequently next to something crisp like a persona swap

I’m a pretty new SMT fan, only really getting into the series with the release of P4G on Steam. Since then I’ve played SMT V and Nocturne as well as P5R. I emulated P3P a while ago and got decently far. It definitely shows it’s age in places, especially with the social links I think, but it’s still a very solid entry. I can only imagine what a longtime fan of the series felt seeing the quality of the port. I do agree that fans should hold companies accountable for shipping clearly botched products, especially with their buying power. Hopefully they at least fix the audio. It was horrendous.

Kudos to having a review that I’ve seen which has the least FES bias possible. There’s definite flaws with the port, but those should be contained to the port itself and not bitterness over FES. I appreciate you being able to do that.

Hey did you guys hear that the recently announced Persona 3 Reload WONT contain the extra content from FES nor will it contain the extra content from Portable?, nice one Atlus, nice one.

I still have the psp disc and case, but haven't owned a psp for over a decade. It was always bullsht how you couldn't control the party members. And the dungeon grind really tested my patience. But I really liked the character designs and the themes the game tackled. I hope one day fem protagonist (hell all female jrpg protagonists) will get the respect she deserves.

This only makes me think that if they ever port the classic Persona games they will not restore anything of the original PSX version of Persona 1, P2IS PSP will have its worse battle system and the reduced difficulty. Fortunately P2EP PSP is a good re-release somehow, but I'm sure they will do something to still mess it up

Playing the persona 3 portable port recently was my first time ever playing persona 3. I have a question for people who’ve played it in the past. At times there were moments where it showed like pictures of the cast (like when they had sushi to celebrate), were the pics that low res in the original too? Looked like pixels

I bought the Switch version and I haven't heard any audio problems at all. I don't know if it's cause I'm playing in handheld mode or what but the audio sounds just as good as it did when I played FES. And I've seen the comparison videos and the audio does sound really compressed there so I'm not sure what's going on

I want to buy the game... but I think I'll wait for them to either fix it or announce the rumored remaster?

I'd also recommend mods for making it good, there are already mods to add in the ps2 character models, fix some of the audio, and soon hopefully a mod to add the cutscenes back. I'm personally waiting for that mod to replay P3 since it'll be a long time if ever until a full 3D env mod is made

I didn't notice the audio being compressed because I play through the tv speakers so yeah. But I swear I didn't hear the MC say persona the first time I watched the scene nor the I am thou

The issue here too is that if people are unhappy about the port, they will probably do a little googling and learn about the various mods (shoutout p3 new moon) that already exist for the game. We have a controllable party member mod for fes, the PSP is one of the easiest consoles to mod you can run p3p on virtually any android device made in the last 5 years.

Square Enix lost the source code for Kingdom Hearts and they were still able to make the HD port of KH Final Mix by reverse-engineering copies of the game, and that's the definitive version of the game with no cut corners. It's also an action RPG with fairly complex interactions and physics that had to be maintained. Persona 3 is just a turn-based RPG, which I imagine should be much easier to reverse engineer.

I have played p4g and p5r. I was waiting for a full p3fes and p3p love child remaster to play it. After this release decided to just emulate p3fes with mods. Best decision ever.

as far as the Audio goes on Persona 3 Portable i have noticed on the Switch version atleast that when i changed my Switch's Audio from Stereo to Mono that it generally sounded much clearer and better atleast on the english audio,i haven't tested the japanese audio.

I recently started P3 FES after playing p3P on steam. It's a straight up upgrade from P3P in every way. I was shocked by the amount of cutscenes and being able to look at the polygons interact while they talks add so much more depth to the scene. I found out that the community has been remastered it themselves through mods and patches. There's a patch that allow you to control your party which eliminate the main criticisms people had about the game. Atlus fcked up for porting the P3P.

I have always wondered why they decided to remaster these games like this. I mean didn't they remaster some parts of persona 3 and the character models in persona 3 dancing in moonlight?? Even if it had made us wait a few years, I would still be happy to see a persona 3 remaster with the graphics of persona 5.

Kind of glad I got to play Persona 3 FES when I had the chance (on the PS3). That game introduced me to Atlus’s games right when I was losing faith in Square Enix, and while it would still be interesting at some point to play P3P for the female protagonist, I can’t say I would be the Atlus fan I am today if I played Portable instead of FES as my first Persona game.

Yup, P3FES is still my favorite person game. The second I realised they were just porting P3P and not a mix of FES and P3P, I realised they did not want my money. I would have paid full price for P3 Definitive or whatever they would have called it, but nope. My favorite SMT game in general is Nocturne, so like.. Atlus is coming for me personally. 😩 What did I do, except be loyal for decades, smh.

As sad as it is that we got one of *those* remasters, the way I see it is that at the very least I now own a legal copy of Persona 3-5. Hope they adress at least the biggest issues with the patch though not holding my breath as from what I heard here and there among the persona content creators is that Atlus doesn't exactly care. If anything there's a really cool mod that restores FES' cutscenes to the PSP version that's being apparently ported to the pc remaster. Looking forward to that + some other QoL improving mods that hopefully will come out.

To be honest, I bought Persona 5 Royal on PS4, Persona 4 Golden on PC, and Persona 3 Portable on Switch. For Persona 3, I actually enjoyed FES the most, but at the same time, I also liked Portable too. Then again... it should've been a total remade game. If we ever do get a Persona 3 remake, let's hope it's the FULL version. Both protagonist routes AND The Answer, AND updated graphics like P5. ... Maybe. Dunno.

For me the only issue I had with P5R pc port was the lack of anti-aliasing

I played p3p on my vita, so when I played it on my ps5 I was like “is my ps5 broken?” Sadly unless we get a p3 remake, I don’t think we’ll get a definitive p3 anytime soon which is sad

i’ve experienced some minor crashes and some small studdering in P5R’s the studdering is annoying but it’s only in scene transitions to places with a lot of npcs, and the crashes only happened when playing on pc which is why I primarily play it on my steam deck. Again not great but it’s still the same p5r experience but just a little less optimized thanks to the drm. Though i’ve no intention of playing persona 3’s port just cause I’m not really interested in it, but knowing the port has such poor audio and less options then p4 Golden definitely makes me not interested in getting it at all.

Persona 3 is my favorite game ever, but fuck this port. If my PC can emulate FES with no issues why can't my Xbox or PS5?

They did the same thing with nocturne on pc and switch. The audio, especially the music was incredibly botched. Some people have gone as far as to say they have lost the source files for the ps2 era games so what we got is a kart/disc dump.

How successful is the P3P port so far in terms of sales and stuff? Maybe if the game flunks enough, they'll feel the need to hopefully do something about it.

I have a question about the P4G port: overall, how much better is it after the big update than before (including the notable new features)? It generally runs with little to no problem on my machine even before it. As for P5R, it runs adequately on my machine...if most of the settings are at their lowest, and I have almost nothing else open. Even then, it still struggles a bit at times, and it doesn't feel like keeping the Wi-Fi on for network access is worth it (at least in the Metaverse, where lag may be more likely and more of a hindrance). Other than that, I still like it. That said, I do wish there was a way to not have to have Denuvo DRM in an already demanding game, since it makes it even more so (and it probably also causes P4G to make my machine run hot instead of warm). And it basically requires that I'm connected to the internet for the first launch on each boot, which means less (but not zero) completely-offline playability. As for P3P Steam...I've already seen that the GameBanana page for it has a few mods that fix some of the very issues you've shown, possibly with more on the way.

In my opinion, the definitive version of P3 would be one that was based off of FES, but added the Portable gameplay changes and excluded the answer storyline(because I hate it). The male protag route would have all the fmvs, and female route would no longer have a point and click setup. They could even use in-game assets, the existing character portraits, and existing voice lines to substitute for the lack of animated cutscenes in the FeMC route. That would've taken extra work though, and I get the feeling that most developers are not given a lot of time when it comes to these kinds of rereleases. What do you guys think?

How about Nocturne's port? I've been planning to get it but decided not to since it's quite expensive. Will probably get it on sale this summer or winter after buying my other more prioritized games.

Persona 3 was my first Persona game, and it was really important for me for my mindset and what was happening in my personal life. It's such a shame that this port is so bad, and we should demand better from Atlus especially when the P4G and P5R ports were handled so well. At least on PC there are some mods to fix up the messy visuals and audio, and you can also port the PS2 character models to that version of the game among other things. But relying on mods for the game to runs like it should have at launch is unacceptable. It's also a shame that we got the inferior version of Persona 3. FES is better, period. Portable has Persona 4's battle system, which is a side step, and controllable party members, which is also a side step if you ask me, and FeMC which is a neat addition with new and mostly better social links as well as some great new tracks too. But FeMC also really shits the bed with stuff like being able to save Shinji, completely botching the game's message or being able to romance Ken which I mean... no.... he's 10. Being so lazy as to not even add selectable skills and adding Devuno basically makes the only upsides to this port be quick saves, difficulty customization, and on PC 120fps and mods. This port just sucks and I am very disappointed. It's the only Persona game on Steam that I did not buy, and I probably won't ever buy it, and I do it will be on sale and it won't be anytime soon.

Yeah I bought the port on steam day 1 but didn’t get a chance to start it then I started hearing everything about how bad it was so now I’m playing strikers instead and don’t plan on touching P3P on steam until it gets patched and if it never does then. I’ll just play an emulated version of the original game and mod it to be the best way of playing portable.

I love how they say in the description of P3p Steam "REMASTER GRAPHICS!" When did Remastered graphics mean just AI up-scaling the image in waifu2x XD

Ight so I am a newbie when it comes to this. But when I played royal I felt that I should play the others ones (once I finish royal of course) I decided to do portable and saw it was getting a port to my console (Xbox one) so I waited and when it did come out I played it for about 15 minutes and uninstalled it and installed Golden instead and had much more fun then I did with portable in the beginning. So what did this me typing this accomplish. To tell you that yeah this video is definitely correct

Some notes I would like to make. 1: I have no idea why Atlus ported the Korean version of P5R over any other. As for why certain things were removed/censored, Korea and China have HEAVY beef with Japan due to the war crimes Japan committed against their countries people during WW2 that they STILL haven't apologized for. Due to this, all depictions of anything resembling imperial Japanese memorabilia is censored in Korea and China. I'm pretty sure it's even against the law to show those symbols in media or in public in those countries like it's illegal to show not see symbols in most European countries. (but especially Germany) One of the things that is commonly censored was the "rising sun" flag which existed on Ryuji's shoes in an earlier version. Another common thing that was censored is imperial Japan outfits which Raido Kuzanoha wears. Therefore, the entire Raido DLC was completely removed from the game. There is actually a long list of errors/small issues in the new ports of P5R which includes: -Raido DLC completely removed from the game including in the code, so you can't even get it by hacking. -Ryuji's shoes have been censored both in-game and in FMVs to remove the rising sun symbol -Joker & Aketchi's showtime has a misprint on one of a signs in the background. This was corrected in the western localization, but not in other versions. -There is a full screen fade in during all-out attacks as well as in the opening FMV, supposedly to prevent epilepsy. However, this effect cannot be turned off even in settings. None of these are game breaking but they're certainly notable. There is a modpack though to restore the changes/censorship. 2: Honestly yes the Persona 3 Portable port is bad, but it's not as bad as people say. I actually like the sound effects being all crunchy because it adds impact to everything. Otherwise it would just be the P4G sound effects and those get boring after hearing them for 200 hours straight over two full playthroughs. I didn't notice any of the poor AI upscaling unless people specificly point it out, and even then it's hard for me to tell. And the voice acting isn't bad or compressed, the only thing that sounds bad is the rooftop scene where Yukari's voice (which is considered a sound effect in the files) is glitched. Yes FES is better but honestly I don't think we have to worry as it's very clear that Atlus's next big project is a Persona 3 remake done in P5's engine. Atlus rushed the port for P3P because they wanted to use FemC for marketing which the P3 Remake wouldn't have and so that they could have all 3 modern Personas out at the same time. P3R will probably release in January 2024 and be announced this June during E3 along with DDS HD.
