once you go get the modular thing, with a scythe, + lily +red fertiliser, it goes vrrrrrrrrrr And it's much easier to set up then I expected.(Good scythe is the key for aoe picking) Oh also reminder that, you can duplicate seed if planted is the corresponding tier myst agriculture farmland, by using that infernium tier on the farmland.
Huge shout out to this pack for putting in a note in the squeezer quest about using Armor Stands to power the base version. 2 Armor stands placed over it will instantly complete a squeeze. Then you just do the redstone to reset it and it flings them up so they land again to complete the next one. Toss a hopper next to it and a repeating redstone signal and it's the poor man's automated squeezer. It's really amusing to watch too.
It is always fun to watch Direwolf20 doing dire things. Keep up that 9x9 life! The pre-recorded videos means he never sees any content for days if not weeks until later. And he always picks unique ways of progressing through a pack. Direwolf20 has a clear focus on certain approaches. Like, not slowing down to read the quest book or checking the other pages on JEI, REI, etc. Keeps the comments flowing for sure!
Average output is the average number of that item you'll get per item sieved. So 0.36 prosperity shards per soul sand. Effectively you get the same result as a 36% chance, but because it's not actually a 36% drop rate, they don't list it that way. For example, Prosperity shards might have a 24% drop rate, but have a 50% chance of dropping 2 shards, which would result in an "average Output" of 0.36 The difference being, an item with 36% drop rate, will drop 36% of the time. An item with a 24% drop rate, but a 50% chance to get 2 drops, will still only drop 24% of the time but you'll average 0.36 of that item, per sand sieved. So it's worded differently because it's not the same as 'drop rate', but ultimately the end result is the same, 100 soul sand should give you 36 shards on average.
Suggestion: That spare energy cube that's not really doing much just stuck on the side of the energy network? Stick it next to the AE CPU, so that it can only do power in from the cables and only out to the AE system. That way if ever you have power problems, your AE system should stay up long enough to do something about it.
Dire “chooses dire setting for survival island” *builds the island exactly like a normal survival island and completely ignores it. Made a new bed because of the decision
Thermo generator from Powah are much better then magmator. They give the same fe output, but you only need water as in put, not lava. and it doesn't scale the needs of lava. (all they need is a bit more blaze powder) And the blazing block gives a nice multiplyer to it too(until dark matter). It needs a bit more ressources to make, but it never need any other production only made and placed, and is not too difficult to upgrade too. Been using them until I made my first star for infinite fe cube XD. (My array was doing up to 12-15m/tick XD 3-4 stacks of 64 gen on dark matter blocks, 45.5k each). By far the best generator in the pack.
I don't know if you already recorded the episode where you build the phyto insolator, but I recommend to not go above enderium tier before you have a stable supply of everything needed for the melodium tier and the best flux amplificator, they are very expensive and you can get a little worse result by building another phyto You will need a lot of shulker shells so probably hostile neuron network is the way to go
With the squeezer, I found someone who showed a trick. Get two armor stands. Block, stand, build up to put a block above it and then the other stand. Veinmine the blocks and the stands drop onto the squeezer. When you press the button, they jump into the air and full squeeze on landing, giving enough time to place a block while they're up.
obsidian can be made cheaper (no power) if you use a stone barrel. pipe cobble into a crucible then pipe the resulting lava into the barrel with water on top and pipe out the obsidian. easy peasy and doesn't use power at all. put down a drawer and soon you will have 2k plus obsidian easy peasy.
pretty sure youve allready figured it out but... red sand comes from crushed netherrack < netherrack so if you rly want to sieve red sand netherrack with 2 hammers is the way
ive gotten farily far in this pack A get cocoons of caprice ASAP when i had to get somthing i needed an axolotl, that has a 0.02 chance of spawning, yes i opened about 300 before i got it, currently on the final steps of advanced mekanism, also get into blood magic as fast as ya can, its an amazing mod to start the pack with since the endless dungeon allows you to get tons of resources that you would otherwise either A need a flux hammer and sieve or B a ton of grinding on the manual sieve, i might be able to answer question though i warn ya this pack feels SO undercooked on a few spots IE the axolotl among other things i hope they fix it soon, edit after seeing the obsidian setup i wanna cry, just get it so a barrel has its own cobble generator piping into the back, water ontop of the barrel, item pipe on the side pulling the obsidian into a drawer
Wait, hadn't you already set up an RF free way to get obisidan? Because I'm sure you inspired me to just do water logged leaf, over a stone barrel with lava fluid input, and item output into an obisidan drawer or chest. 😅 It turned out to be much cheaper than the blast chiller (which I set up first)
am i the only person who is shouting at dire to use an iron furnaces furnace instead of mekanism? the iron furnace diamond or obsidian furnace, which he should totally be able to put together at this point, is WAY better then mekanisms. put that factory augment in there and it runs on power and splits stacks into like 6 processing streams, takes half the effort that mekanisms does to build and even at full speed mods mekanism can never touch iron furnaces speed >.
