I searched the web for Charlie Bowater and luckily found the brush set she's shared on Gumroad for free. It's absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for both Charlie and Atomhawk. Keep up the good work, guys!

@justa_aurora Sorry. I just saw your comment here. It's the free one, named "Free Brushes" locating on the very left side of Charlie's Gumroad page. I just checked. It's still free now. Cheers!

@@PeteCranfield what’s it’s called? I tried to figure out which one specifically but I can’t figure it out! Also if you can recommend any brush sets that are free that would be much appreciated! 😃

@@bluearmani9853 Hi there! Just google "charlie bowater free brushes" and select the first result. It'll take you there. You then enter "0$" (you can donate to her as well) and hit the "I want this!" button and the download should start immediately. And for the recommendation on brush sets, I would recommend that you should stick to and master the basic Round brush. It's my favorite. Cheers!

I am confused as to how she blended it so easily?? I have only just began digital painting and and I really struggle to not make it look streaky and unblended! Can anyone help? X

Hey! Don't worry about it, when I first started painting digitally around 2 years ago, I had the same problem. My recommendation would be to practice blending by painting gray scale (black and white) objects to start out. Focus on laying down flat, clear values in the beginning to block out your forms. Then, you can diffuse any unwanted hard edges by lightly sweeping back and forth over the edge with a slightly textured brush. Painting gray scale cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, and pyramids will allow you to practice your blending before moving onto more complicated forms. Also, even though it's boring, painting basic shapes will teach you the fundamentals of values, form, and edges that you'll use every time you paint/draw. After you get the hang of blending the basic shapes, move on to more complicated subject matter - like still life, and eventually characters. I'll link below some amazing resources for learning the fundamentals of drawing and painting. These are the resources that have completely transformed my art in the last two years, so I hope you find them useful :) 1. @@MAHDI-kw4pr brushes dont matter when you're first learning to paint. And considering that you're making a tutorial more geared towards beginners, you should encourage them to learn how to just paint normally first and add textures/other shit later. Brushes do not matter.

There isn't magic colors to use for "skin tone". Skin can be any color depending on the light(s)
