ATOMIC BOMBERMAN!!! 

God, I remember this game from my childhood. It was the 1st game I ever installed and I was afraid that my older brother would yell at me. God, those were times when I went to pre-school. It makes me feel so nostalgic that I wanna crry.

The first for Windows and the best Bomberman there will ever be. Period. Nostalgia!!!

I first played this 16 years ago and spent hundreds of hours on it!

I'd really like to see an HD remake of Atomic with vastly improved, more colorful graphics and lots of online features.

@sYs85 Thanks for the tip, it worked for me. However, there's another couple of issues that have me baffled, one, when I play, the death animation of choice for every Bomberman seems to be always the "burned up": one, and two, when collecting power-ups, the same sound is generally heard each time a power-up is picked up, regardless of which Bomberman picked it up. Anyway, how do I fix the two problems? I'm guessing I have to go into the valuelst.res file to do the work, am I right?

Fraps worked just fine for me. The only problem it had with recording AB is that it wouldn't display the FPS counter. Otherwise, it records the game just fine.

I still have my CD of this game in perfect condition. Someone should port this to Android. It would clean up.

If you have color problems in Win 7 32-bit do this: Open a notepad file and place this in: taskkill /f /im explorer.exe start /w gamename.exe start explorer.exe Then click File->Save As and be sure that the name given by you is the same with the exe of the game and it is followed by the extension .bat (e.g: bomberman.bat) Under the File Name, select All Files and click Save. Place the created file in the same folder with your game and double click it to start the game.

Well, it's a reference to the movie Forrest Gump. The voice clip sounds like forrest, and in the movie, he buys a shrimp boat and starts his own business. It's a cool movie. Also the creators could have very well been drunk when making this. Have you seen the bonus pictures in the sound folder? There's like pictures of one of the guys from Interplay being a wierdo. He also has a helicopter, apparently.

@DeZmanStudios i'm running Atomic Bomberman on windows 7 and i was able to fix the colors. just right-click on the executable file or shortcut and go to compatibility and put a check in "Run in 256 Colors", "Run in 640x480 Screen Resolution", "Disable Visual Themes", and "Disable Display Scaling on High DPI Settings". hope this helps out and enjoy your game!

Yes, I do, actually. I opened the sound file with one of the programs that comes with the games. It's called GUMP.RSS. It says "I've never seen anything like this before, especially on my shrimp boat. I've never seen a draw before, I guess we'll just have to play one ourself." Or something to that extent.

Arrrrgghhhh nostalgia overload, sooooooo many awesome memories... Tell my children they weren't an accident ;) (our little secret) But seriously I used to play this with my cousin for hours on end almost 10 years ago now. Got insanely good and kicked the computer players ass almost every game. Loved that last minute close up always got really epic then. Still haven't found out what the poop power up does though. =/

Hey does anyone know how to change the actual colors of the bomberman? I used values.res to change some things, but I want to change the color of the cyan and magenta bombermen to gray and turquoise. Can anyone help me???

I tried domaug's instructions for fixing the colours on my laptop, it didn't work for me, unfortunately. Is there another way I can fix the colours? My laptop has Windows 7.

@KnightofTime it worked for mine but here's the thing. sometimes it won't work the first time, so just close it out and retry with the same settings. if it works, that's great but if not, i'm not sure how else to help.

Always try to download all bomberman games because I forget the title of this game, but now I remember: ATOMIC BOMBERMAN! LOL It always fun when you get virus and going rampage randomly XDD Play with all players ON! XDDD

fraps really only likes to work in windows 98 and below! espesaly win95! It for alot of people with Win XP it likes to freeze on the main screen and won't let you move the curser when you try to run it in some Windows Xp, vista, win 7, and up computers! It cant even run on vista and windows 7 without the MS-DOS addon! you can make schem files or maps by using the "Secret" editing tool givin in game play! look it up in the in-game help files on how to use it! =D

Nevermind, I got those minor issues resolved.

It's green, it just turned blue when i ran it through windows movie maker. I guess it like mixed the 2 pixel colors of the grass together.

Well, this is true, but I bought the CD recently. The reason the music's missing is because this isn't the full installl It also runs just fine on XP. Check out my network game video, and you'll see it in action.

@tbromyard90 Hey I had the same problem as well but it turns out it plays quite fine once you get past the installation. Look for a portable version on torrents and it'll work.

i have windows 7 ,but it have some graphic bugs. the bug set the game up to 16-bit colour depth. How can i change this?
