I really appreciate having this kind of content on RU-vid. It gives me a preview of the book is about without trying to persuade me to buy it. I hope to find this book in my country and read it.
I had cancer last year and when I finished my treatment and was on my recovery, I just had a realization, that I need to change and that there is a reason and purpose why I am still alive to this day. At the first day of January, I started doing what Jamila said, cleaning while listening to audio book. I started with cleaning and Marie Kondo's Art of tidying up then I stumbled on the Power of Habits and this as well, the Atomic Habits, and it changed the quality of my life. I used to think that I have a very slow learning process but understanding about habits opened another perspective to me. That practice does not make it perfect, practice makes it permanent and that little habits and step by step actions goes a long way.
I hope that you're feeling wonderful, enjoying good health and enjoying life! Her channel is a very special place to be and unites us like-minded people.
I just finished this book as well. Truly life changing. It feels good to know that the changes I've put forth in my life is not "crazy" as it would seem to others. Thank you for making a video on it. Much love from California
I really love Jamila’s channel. It’s very unique. Yes, some contents like book reviews may seem not unique but the delivery, set up, and overall production is identifiably Jamila’s.
I read this book this spring and there are so many things about it that I think about every day. Things like habit stacking and making a habit more visible have really helped me improve my life in so many areas.
Thank you for this excellent video. I read this wonderful self-improvement book. Unfortunately, I forgot some points, so this is a lovely refresher with your real-life examples. I have been stacking habits prior to reading this book-I practice piano and foreign languages after my daily work. I also listen to foreign language podcasts when I drive or cook dinner. Yes, saying “you did it” works when you leave the house. My mom likes to say “closed it” every time she closes the garage door, and it works so she doesn’t forget to close the door when she leaves the house.. 💕😊☕️
I really appreciate your detail book reviews and breakdowns. You've covered some of my favorite development/self-help books. Great insights and a very eloquent, articulate delivery. Thank you!
i bought the audio, kindle version of atomic habits, listened to it twice, now finishing the book by using his one page a day method, which helped me to reincarnate (bring back LOL) my dead reading habit, now preparing to do BootCamp version of it too :D It has never sounded this cute, soft, smooth, and easy to digest. what I like about your style is basically the reason i draw a line between good and bad content; your examples are "real", authentic and easy to relate... Gladly subscribed and i will learn a lot from your etiquette "classes" / books. Good luck, and proud to have someone like u from my motherland !!! Community service is saint and thank you million times for doing it !!!

I read this book a while back. There are so many things I want to do and learn. This book is inspiring because it reminds me there are so many new and great habits to have.
I appreciate the amount of explanation and examples that you have provided from this book. The take-aways we're very inspiring and motivating and made me rethink of my habit forming methods. thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for this upload! I’m really into self-help/self improving books and I’m also getting back into reading, as a kid I would read books like nothing but as I got older I stopped. I love the feeling of having the physical book and the smell of books! I just got this book yesterday and I’m so excited to read and take away from it. I’m going to make sure to bring it with me everywhere like you mentioned in your other video as well! I hope you and your family doing well ☺️🤍
Wow! I am watching the video, paused and want to thank you for this beautiful summary. You motivated me to read the book 📙 Thanks a lot dear! Please keep uploading videos frequently ❤
I like the part that talks about how our environment shapes our habits. It’s true that the energy you create around yourself can be make or break. Whether that be through people or objects 😚
1st comment on your video because I always wait for your videos .I appreciate your effort to provide us etiquettes of life which can give us success in our life.thanks and lot of love for you 🥰❤️❤️
Great summary and I'm so happy for you that your videos are being sponsored. Very much deserved! What was the Japanese word you used to mean refining a habit? I might have to watch the video again :)
A very comprehensive video! Thank you for sharing your insights, I find them truly helpful and easy to follow. ❤ I'd suggest maybe you can start a book club? If not maybe you can tell your viewers/followers the next book you're going to make a video on so we can also read it beforehand or just so we know what book is next. Thank you! 😊
The book sound really interesting! I watched the video to see whether I should read it, but now I definitely will. It sounds similar to „Tiny Habits“ by BJ Fogg, especially when you were talking about the After I… I will…. Formula. BJ Fogg talks a lot about how you can create habits that you will find easy to stick to but will have great results. If you liked this book that might be worth reading, I personally found it very helpful.
Good evening! First of all, I would like to say that your videos have helped me a lot, and I’m glad I discovered them. Secondly, I would like to ask a question. How do you handle intense moments of sadness and lack of motivation? Sometimes, I face spontaneous discouragement. Have you experienced something like this?
Definitely get your hands on it. You can also read up the summary and important points on Shortform. You will get a 5day free trial with my personal link.
Dear Jamila, I was wondering if there's any spelling error in the Subject of the video, i.e. This book changed my life & it will charge yours too! No offence just wanted to let you know. Additionally, I watched your video on Basic Dining Etiquettes/Manners recently and loved it! Looking forward to more informative videos! Thank you!
Jamila, In response I would like to add when leaving your house say an abstract word as you lock your door so you won't question "did I lock my door" and I speak Sanskrit Mantras and several language's recite President Kennedy's speeches. Habits are good. I know you are a great wife and mother your family is very fortunate.
Wonderful contents, wonderful attitudes and also besides contents I sometimes watch your videos even to improve my english. You have an amazing English. Hello from Turkey 💕
Hi Jamila this week I have been watching your videos continuously..Do we need permission from publisher/author to talk about books we read...I love reading too..Your videos are very insightful
1% daily routine, system work your habit (cues attractive, easy and satisfying Rewards or punishment enjoyable, but it takes time changes behaviors the outcome, process, identity and reverse (identity process outcome) I think....
Recommend us some podcasts in your other languages! :) (My second language is Spanish, but I feel like I’ve forgotten it since being out of school forever.)
Hello ma'am Hope you are doing good😊 I want to request you if it's possible for you can you please start a monthly community post to give book suggestions for us if it's possible for you. And thank you for all the amazing content you give us 😊
I read this about a month ago because everyone was raving about it, but to be honest it is kind of basic information. If you have read a lot of self-help or self-improvement books, you probably won’t glean any information that you didn’t know from it.
Hi Your channel has been very helpful to develope my personality. Recently I and my dad has an argument and he kind of dragged the thing in my hand and threw it away. I was angry I was sad and almost in a stage to cry , I just walked away into my room. Can u help me figure out how to deal with insults as elegantly as possible.
