​@@MatthewCobalt There's several cases of him being against using the technology to control people (some of the other characters are deliberately trying to hide this from you - like in the archive recordings). There are cases where he could've used it to solve his problems, but didn't. He's even kept people like Chariton Zaharov, baba Zina, Filatova and Petrov around and in positions of power where they could pose danger to him. Real control freak would never have allowed people like that to pose a threat to him. If anything - he's too idealistic and trusting of people.

​​@@MatthewCobalt if you don't get the plot, those mindless slaves on Neptun complex was your glove work right from the beginning, cause he's full on misanthrope, Sechenov may be in search of control(if glove told us the truth ), for the rest part Sechenov didn't controlled that girl or anyone else. That's the neat part of the game, you see from your perspective that Sechenov killed the commission, created limbo, killed his friend, created a doom slayer out of protagonist, but if you read every file, hear all audiofiles you will not be tricked by the glove and figure out that Sechenov is not the bad guy.

​@@rinnarbetta866 dude exactly I kept reading a bunch of the files and the ones about chariton made me so Sus of him after the reveal it was him, at first I was just like damm this zahkarov guy sounds like those adeptus mechanicus, then goddamm, I still went for the kill sechenov route and the boss fight was amazing but that damm ending got me so mad, I tried finding A way to get rid of Charles in the middle of the fight but alas no bueno

@@richmondneo1 main reveal was right on Neptune station where you can read Zaharovs message to Sechenov where he denies the need of body at all, and mentioning that he's on a next step of evolution, so yeah all way to the end he's liar, manipulator, imposter and so on. I like how that all worked out, we just don't get enough time to speak with Sechenov and was building theories about what happened based on Zaharovs info(sometimes that info was opposing itself)

I think i agree with this, besides, theres footage of concept art and other ideas about this game since 2013, i mean, there is so much they didnt add, the plot and and game mechanics, like the ecosystem and testing grounds, gives all the posiblities to a sequel, with bigger and better map, more arenas, more bossfights, Its not fair that whe didnt fight not one single Drofa, or Vurav. The cars where so unuseful to me, because you encounter enemies all the time, not even the bridge was a good idea for the car...they been working on this for so long, i just dont believe this is all they could build.

They already have dlcs planned actually

There's definitely a sequel, multiple actually because they have 4 (or 5) dlc's coming up soon. I got the atomic pass so I can't wait

You know, that's oddly true for a good ending. It isn't always through mud, blood and tears, sometimes the key to the good ending is a cold and clear mind. I mean, blood rage is the first thing that comes to mind, emotions and pain, but sometimes you must take a stop and think. I learned that the hard way IRL

There should be three endings. The good, bad and the True ending. Both of them feel like those joke or "what if" endings like in Stanley Parable just to look for another one.

There must be a DLC's explaining endind

You know the glove is also "the bad guy" no one was really good minus the mc/pawn

Most likely the bad ending is canon. And the sequel will be based on the bad ending

@@thekillerpill23 I mean, it left me wanting more. Cliffhangers are cliffhangers for a reason, and both endings are the definition of cliffhanger. Where Is p-3? Where'd jellyman/Char-les go, and more importantly what did he go off to do? What's the state of the world in the aftermath? I'm pretty ive read something about the developers planning more DLC-wise and sequel-wise.

Me too, i could not believe charles was the bad guy all along the whole time, until i chose the bad ending, which ironicly is also the True Ending lmao.

Thats because the game makes sure thats how its set-up, even giving you a scene when P-3 "resists" being sent to Limbo, so it looks like Sechenov can no longer do that. Realistically there was little to nothing that would help you recognize who is being manipulative. Tbh its very cheap gotcha writing, it just can seem impressive.

I thought it wasn't very original. There's a certain movie about a certain robot that ends in a similar way. I agree we need more bad endings though, at least for short games. But it worked for Elden Ring. Where arguably none of the many endings are exactly happily ever after.

@@noahfoxx3476 It was a flash of an image that I caught. Easy to miss too. I thought it was weird so I decided to play that scene at slower speeds. It still disappears even at the slowest speed but you can definitely see it. To make sure I got the image down, I spammed the pause button until that frame came up.

the story in the game is unusually mature. the good ending is where Hero denies his role of an instrument in other's hands and makes wise decision to not assume Sechenov is evil despite being heavily brainwashed to think so by some people he knows nothing about. game is playing with player teaching him an important lesson by showing how easily he can be manipulated into waging a vengeance and killing a rather close person with no actual reason or right to do so. game allows player to have a classic hollywood-style heroic ending, but makes it a bad one teaching player that being emotionally stable independently thinking adult is a wiser strategy, than allowing other people to emotionally manipulate him via his irrational thrive for epic heroism.

@@Zorro33313 I agree with the emotionally stable part but you can't defend Sechenov like he's a saint either, with the "good ending" Sechenov will have the ultimate control over the entire nation, later the whole world due to robot's being placed in other countries that can take over, which is against the USSR socialism idolegy regardless, because you are literally making the whole world ONE monarchy nation. And it's kind of ironic seeing Sechenov gets destoryed by what he created(polymorph monster that Charles later turned into in the "bad ending") that he uses to destroy he's opposition(molotov) early on in the story. There is no good ending in this game, everyone gets what they deserved, aka karma.

Evidence says he genuinely wants to prevent a global nuclear exchange and annihilation of the humanity with as less blood spilled as possible. That's his motivation we pick up from the plot. Does this make him saint? Hell, no, hi did a lot of morally questionable things, but he's not a criminal and not a villain. He's a man doing everything in his power to prevent a catastrophe. The idea he's trying to gain control over the world is a part of Zaharov`s bs narrative created to emotionally manipulate major/player into betraying Sechenov and helping Zakharov to control/erradicate the humanity, cuz that's what Zacharov wants - we know it 100%. Zakharov simply projects his own motivation onto Sechenov, destabilize Nechaev emotionally and condition him into thinking Sechenov is a bad guy, while the truth is actually the opposite. It's propaganda 101 being applied to both Major Nechaev and Player himself. Quite a sophisticated plot move.

So as him using the polymer to get rid of Molotov wasn't a lie you see it with your own eyes too. If Sechenov was truly launching kollective for the good of man kind why commit all these literal biggest crimes against humanity and refuse to get investigated by the government while destroying all the evidence so it couldn't trace back to him? And you can still say that he's not a criminal nor a villain, are you serious? The only truly good ending of the story is kollective 2.0s launch has been cancelled/revoked/delayed and Sechenov and he's scientist team get investigated by the government. How is he a man that is doing everything to stop the catastrophe when he literally created the catastrophe himself yet simultaneously keeps advancing when he's own science team betrayed him, the government tries to stop him.

@@calebgao6931 1. Larisa worked with Zaharov - she's showing you the Voshod project, not Myisl 2. Zaharov killed both Molotov and Larisa - he's responsible for Nechaevs blackouts - he controls him via Voshod module. 3. Sechenov was against Voshod project cuz it allows to control people - Larissa shows you that tape but switch it off exactly when Sechenov starts to critique it. 4.Sechenov didn't create a catastrophe - Larissa and Petrov did. 5. Sechenov was working on preventing the catastrophe driven by the US' Atomic heart project. Mate, you just didn't listen to the story well, i see it now. It's not about interpretations - you're just not aware of half of the plot. It's totally understandable, i had to walk trough it twice to get most of the story. It's pretty crazy and manipulative. If a player is not really into it and listens superficially - he walks into this propaganda trap and thinks Sechenov is a villain, cuz that's exactly the idea Zakharov puts in his mind. Just go through the whole story once again, mate, and be extremely critical about everything this time. You'll see everything yourself, it's gonna be a very cool experience.

They are probably trying to make people buy the DLCs by giving us these trash conclusions

Both endings have AI generated images (the second ending has a slide deck also that seems missing). The hall with the portraits before the final tein fight also has AI generated images which is interesting. (Not a bad idea if you're tasked with making 50 unique high-resolution textures of human portraits lol)

@Jonah Hekmatyar there are also AI generated images when you check the PCs in the game (called pears I think) and look at the employees tab.

@@KingKimwer I'll admit the hazmat duo scene is a bit sus with the different gloves and how a hazmat suit is suppose to be worn. But for the extra limbs and heads in the beach scene. I have to point out, I don't think that's the case. It's more like said head and limbs are actually attached to bodies that are mostly behind another person. You can't use the people that are closer to the building unless you are saying that you extracted the image from the game files and somehow zoomed in on those people. Because from what we see, that far of a distance is mostly a blur or wasn't focused. If you've seen how cameras worked in the early 2000s and late 1990s, you'd understand that sentiment. What I found odd is that some people in the beach image are sitting down(?) on nothing but air. But again, most of the image appears unfocused.

There is only 2, the one you fight downstairs is Left (the one normally in the jacket), these are polymer based robots with a metallic 'skin'. The damage you do is all surface level and there's plenty of time between the two battles for her to repair her own skin with some polymer.

This is... Not the best read of the game tbh considering Sechenov is not a political leader, just the head scientist, and in general, way less of a horrible person than Ryan. Also, we don't really know what is real and what was the main character's mind being manipulated, remember that. The Atlas plot twist, with your "guide" being a villain, is there, tho

@@roboquebrado5360 In the end Sechenov wants to better the society he lives in, his flaws are a) being part of a very authoritarian system and b) a lack of care for human lives. Ryan built a city under the pretense of "escaping authoritarian governments" and "freedom for everyone" but very quickly became the authoritarian leader himself and persecuted those he didn't agree with. Sechenov is "progress has no empathy for those who want to stop it" Ryan is "my word is law" and "my freedom is the only kind of freedom you'll get" In my opinion, Sechenov is less shit, specially when a lot of what we know about him was made up by a vengative talking glove who wants to take over the world

i think charles just shocked p3 and made him paralyzed for some time, charles can controll when the rage starts for p3, basicaly charles pushes a button and p3 goes into beserk mode.

Zaharov started the combat mode designed on P3 so just like Granny Zina said P3 shattered Filatova into pieces and thus killing her

When the Major enters Limbo on the elevator, he can find a severed robot head with a haircut similar to Larissa's.

From what I understood, in the first ending you just runaway, eventually Sechenov will activate the hivemind control project. In the second ending you kill Sechenov, but have been manipulated by Char-Les, who killed you too. So in that ending there is a new creature, who think to be the next step of evolution, and will try to end humanity. In both ending, humanity seems doomed. For the very last part, since the character's eyes glow white, I suppose you have a last hallucination where you reunite with your dead wife. Unfortunately I do not understand the meaning for P-1 P-2 P-3, since you are P-3 i don't know who the others are, maybe the twins.

This is the idea... It is not a game "to satisfy sexual morbidity" it is to teach you that life is terrible and that many times, the choices you choose are not exactly happy or good... life is unfair and that this is a much more serious game.
