Concepts of atomic mass and relative atomic mass.
The atomic mass of an isotope of a chemical element is defined related to the mass of carbon-12 isotope. Carbon-12 is the standard so its atomic mass is 12. The unified atomic mass unit (u) is 1/12 of the atomic mass of carbon-12. This unit is also called dalton (Da), in honor to the XIX century British chemist and physicist John Dalton.
On the other hand the relative atomic mass, also known as atomic weight doesn't refer to a particular isotope, but to the chemical elements of the periodic table, considering their isotopic abundance (percentage) at the Earth crust and atmosphere.
