WORKS! Tho I Found a key detail, missed in my initial research: important IF you're adding butt- connectors or any other wires TO the SWC setup, since those can add resistance, cause the signal to fail! That's why mine took a few attempts, lol.. Good luck, all
Late to the party as well. I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra base model and i just ordered and installed the Crux interface for my vehicle model. Made life SO much simpler! No guess work or wire hunting. Just wire it up, set the dip switches and plug it in. Retained factory backup cam, swc, factory usb and aux. To be fair the Crux interface wasn't released until October 2023 but still... for those hunting for a simpler solution you should head over to the Crux site and search their vehicle for the appropriate interface. Glad i did.
Just to clarify, you don't need an extra SWI box if your car's SW buttons are the resistive type. If the controls go through the CAN bus a SWI box will be required.
My 2012 Acura TL does have resistive type steering wheel controls. Does that mean I don't need to buy that $70 box and I can do it with just the cables themselves?
@@CHiTO316 Most budget Chinese head units support learning your resistor values so a add-on module is not necessary. Generally name brand units are not programmable so a module would be required even if not on the CAN bus.
But haven't been happy with my ATOTO. They are the better of the Chinese units but glitches and still frequent. All others on the market are even worse. I've tried and returned MANY!
How should I know where should I connect this two wires k+ and the other one to my car harness I have 2017 Chevy express not sure how they name it nothing says streaming wheel on the diagram, can you tell me where should I connect them? Thanks for your video
What are the pin descriptions on the Lexus plug? I have a 2011 Honda into which I want to install an Atoto unit. There are two wires on the factory harness labeled "Remote switch", which is the signal wire and "Remote GND", which is a separate ground for the SWC. Does it match with whats on your harness?
My 2006 Lexus ES330 wiring diagram shows the 20 pin connector plugs into R3 with 4 wires signals as: R3 - 6 as SWG body ground (color is black/red) steering wheel ground R3 - 7 as SW1 steering wheel pad switch signal (color is pink/black) R3 - 8 as SW2 steering wheel pad switch signal (color is green/white)
Doesn't the atoto only have 1 ground. I connected mine to the Toyota wiring Harness. Is there an additional ground coming out of the Toyota 20 pin prong?

Chad, that electrical wire is going to come loose after being in a baking car and then it's gonna short our your electrical system....I would fix that right away with crimp connectors.
