10 weeks? Our infantry training there was 16 weeks.. Passed out 18 December 1986 Rhine Platoon. I noticed the guys had time for sports and have relaxing time in the cookhouse, I don't want to sound like a cliché, I remember 16 weeks of hell, late night inspection, Corporal coming in drunk at 0200 wrecking our rooms while expecting to be ready for room inspection. Our free time was rifle drill and rifle drill marching around the whole camp. I just remember having 2 weekends free which one of them I went to watch Top Gun in Royston. They weren't free because we had to keep doing block jobs.
I passed out the month before these lot. Instead of going home for Christmas with my family like everyone else, that night I had to start 10 days ROPs lol.
