Seeing this Classic Japanese Sci Fi Movie in RU-vid brings back childhood memories of staying up late on Friday and Saturday nights with the tv show "Creature Features with Bob Wilkins", at the time, the tv show also aired other Classic Japanese Sci Fi movies such as Dagora: The Space Monster, The H Men, Daimajin, etc, and including all the Godzilla movies from 1954 to 1975, of course all the movies were English Dubbed, it was fun watching them with friends and family.
Atragon had a lot going on. Submarines,Secret Bases, Below Earth Civilization, Kaiju, Romance,etc........Japan and Toho specifically were all in with their Fantasy and Science fiction productions. Some of the most expansive miniatures and modeling intensive sets were in those 50's-70's Japanese Sci Fi Movies. What I rather enjoyed as a kid is that many of the same actors were in the various Toho Kaiju movies although their characters were different. Another Sub themed Japanese SciFi Goodie is Terror Beneath the Sea.
Ah yes!. The quest for the Mu Empire!. One of the best Japanese Si Fi movies back in the 60's. I was just 7years old when I first watched this!. I never knew that it was in colour! (60years ago all we had was black and white TV's).
Someone should post the part where Atragon punches its way into the Mu underground city and blows up their generators. That was my favorite part of this movie when I was a kid.
This movie offers a leisurely pace and a narrative that unfolds predictably, allowing for a serene viewing experience. I am grateful for the opportunity to have watched the entire film on RU-vid.
I actually own the anime Super Atragon, this is much more classic than the animated version, since it has been out longer. Take care, and all the best.
I am reasonably sure the complete opus was on RU-vid, at some point. Did a censor take it down? Did some genius complain? Either way, time to restore the entire film to RU-vid.
Bonjour, à partir de maintenant le sous-titre Français est disponible, même dans la suite du film sur : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SatD2GSSi0I.html
