I don't know how you do it Atreyu. Every time I am at a crossroads in my life, every time I am making a big change, every time I need a helping hand... you guys release a new album that perfectly captures what I am feeling, thinking, aspiring to, concerned about, all of it. You guys are truly the best band. You are some sort of mystical gift that keeps giving. I wish I could know how we end up having the same exact thoughts and experiences. I'm nearly 29 years old now, I've been listening since middle school. I feel like we've grown up together. I've never even written a RU-vid comment longer than a handful of words before. This just had to be said. I hope you're still there in another few years when we're in the next stage of life. You are so incredibly underrated. Your music changed my life, probably saved my life several times, and continues to be an inspiration to me. Thank you so much.
"It doesn't feel like atreyu" then you're clearly stuck in the crimson and need to grow up because they have made mulitple cds and songs that resemble this. Love you Atreyu. Always will be my favorite band!! LongLiveAtreyu
It's not the fact that it doesn't feel like atreyu, it doesn't sound like atreyu or possibly look like atreyu. Yes indeed stuck in crimson i will forever be. But good for them trying something new, not bad for Atrey-2
This song and the message are just plain awesome. It is great to see a band progressing from brooding to badass and now contemplative. The lyrics are fantastic and it still has some of that old school beautiful atreyu smack you in the face.
Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? (1, 2... 1, 2, 3 go) Will I be more than flesh? Can I leave more than bones? Will these words than an impact? But cannot be cut into stone Force yourself to remember Or choose to forget You can't leave this world as a lion Or just fall asleep in it We break like the ocean, we rise like the tide We drown in emotion but reach for the sky We're moving the mountains, we're making a change Drink youth from the fountain before it's too late Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Will I leave you better off than I found you? Shining every step? Or will I deceive you, mislead, and destroy you? The choice is up to me We break like the ocean, we rise like the tide We drown in emotion but reach for the sky We're moving the mountains, we're making a change Drink youth from the fountain before it's too late Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake? Yeah We break like the ocean, we rise like the tide We drown in emotion but reach for the sky We're moving the mountains, we're making a change Drink youth from the fountain before it's too late Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake, in our wake, in our wake? Who will we leave in our wake?
@@beybladelover2759 Since you like beyblades I subbed to you lol. I like them too, I have BRave Valkyrie, Command Dragon, Tempest Dragon, Super Hyperion, Sword Valkyrie, King Helios, Turbo Achilles, Turbo Spriggan, Royal Genesis, Eclipse Genesis. And thats it.
Don't care about what some people are saying about them not being the band they used to be, all you get to listen is "ah I they became mainstream, ah they are not the band we knew", well open your ears because they are. You know what, they are not gonna remain 20 forever, as people grow up they want to experience different things and this is the path they chose, they matured as a band and they've done it in a way I (and many other) like to listen, so that's good enough for me! I really like this song and The Time Is Now. I'm so happy they are back making music and I believe this is the reason THEY keep making music, it's something that makes them happy, it's a way of living. I really like their new stuff and I've been a fan of them since 2007 when they released Becoming the Bull and Falling Down, probably as excited as then if not even more.
Now that I've read about the theme of this album and what inspired each song, I have much more respect for this song. I've always had much respect for the band. Truly intelligent and gifted artists.
Been a huge fan since I first heard them when I was younger with my sister blasting their music and am still just as much of a fan now, I love the fact that they are using Porter's vocals more and more often, seeing these guys live was one of the best experiences I've ever had!
I seen a Trey you four times in concert and I would love to go see them again. I just seen that they came out with a new two songs. So hopefully for 2021 they go back on tour. Let's bring our generation back
idk why people are expecting The Curse v2, that happened 14yrs ago. people change over time and their music will change with them. I personally miss their older songs too, but this is still something I could listen to on a daily basis. I'm just grateful that the band that i played nonstop through high school is still making music. i'm sure there will be some heavier songs on this album, but overall this is a sound I can get behind.
Chorus is catchy as all get out and the solo rips, but looks like Im not the only one who misses how raw the screams are from Atreyu. Still a banger, probably sets a festival crowd OFF
I had no idea there was new Atreyu. I'm disappointed I didn't hear it sooner. I do still love this band and this is one of the first ever bands that got me into metalcore and further metal. So I'll forever be grateful and support them. Obviously I miss their older sound but this song was still incredible. Hell yeah!
I'm ok with them going in this direction. The great thing about atreyu's old music is it'll always still be there so I can just go listen to it if I wanna hear old atreyu. But I also enjoyed hell or highwaters style in a different way so I can appreciate the new atreyu style. Atreyu keep it up!
Heard this song a week ago, and I thought Atreyu was getting somewhere again... Now that I see the video, I'm certain Atreyu is getting attention once again
What an absolute killer tune! The message is clear, look after the environment or we'll leave nothing but a barren wasteland in our wake for our kids...
