I can't agree more, they have not changed their style like avenged sevenfold, or split up. It really makes me happy to see a band like this prosper the way they do.
Max Carrell they did change they're style alot lead sails paper anchors or what ever the hell is called suck compare to anything before that album cause that one was complete crap.
Guess you've never seen Mastodon? Don't get me wrong, Brandon Saller is amazing... but Brann Dailor is one of the best (if not the best) drummers on account of being able to sing while drumming complex parts.
Andres 14000 Nope they are insane.. so much energy.. you need alot of energy if you are going to sing songs like this. And they sound identical the drummer is really good too he does all the non hardcore vocals and drumming doesnt seem to interfere with his voice.
Tobi kun Whether you like it or not.. doesnt change anything i've said. I like their older stuff to. I saw them about 5 years ago a little after crimson came out.
did two tours in Afghanistan had friends go that didn't come back atreyu was on my playlist for both tours love their music love this song. they'll always be one of my favorite bands
I saw them after I got back from Iraq, they played a show in Fairbanks AK and im pretty sure most of that crowd was the military community. They prefaced their performance with a thank you for our service. Great guys, and great performers.
I'm a Army Veteran (11b) who deployed to afgahnistan back in 2010-11. Some of the stuff experienced down range is something that still hurts me each and every day. I've had the opportunity to be with the best, and I Honor all my Brothers who aren't with me today. I live for them and there families, it's hard and my wife and own family doesn't understand. Listening to this song the passed few days has really brought up some of the best memories I have had, especially with those who aren't here today. Thank you, you all have my respect
MrTimjames343 hooyah 11 bravo, hope you never had to meet the people this song seems to be written about but if you did i'm glad they did what they did and that you're here
Served in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 as well brother. This song will always make me feel a little better about the shit we did and went through with our fellow brothers. 2nd Cav here but we are all brothers
Levi Painter I agree! Maybe if it was on Google play or other places it might be a bigger hit! Only place I can find it is here and guitar hero live lol
That drummer has one sick voice. Honestly I've never listened to them but just going threw suggestions on RU-vid and I think I found a new obsession. Love the drummers voice.
Atreyu is a rare kind of band where every member is the MVP of their songs. As someone revisiting them after years and years and I'm amazed by the work they've put out
This is such a beautiful song. I didn't know Atreyu still made music until I came across this on Guitar Hero Live. I lost my mind when it turned out to be amazing 🙌🏾
As a veteran i want to say thank you so much for this song. You guys never cease to amaze me with your talent. I feel like im 14 and discovering atreyu all over again
Every stitch represents a soul A son. A daughter. Someone you know Freedom has a price The high road A steep toll Party lines they don't mean shit When you’re in the desert When your life's at risk Rich kids don't go to war Only the disposable masses Rich kids don't go to war We do! We do! [Chorus:] x2 So Others May Live Ask yourself what have you done To deserve their respect You've never been on the wrong Side of a gun Politicians or terrorists? Killing the youth and robbing the sick Running this nation into the ground No ied kills like the house and senate Rich kids don't go to war Only the disposable masses Rich kids don't go to war We do! We do! [Chorus:] x2 For the warriors that we have lost For the ones that we’re yet to lose For the warriors that we have lost For the ones that we’re yet to lose We stand with honor and salute the Ones who fight for me and you For the warriors that we have lost For the ones that were yet to lose Every stitch represents a soul A son. A daughter. Someone you know [Chorus:] x2
Its funny most youtube videos have so much hate in the comments yet all I see in these comments are happy die hard Atreyu fans. It makes me smile. Long live Atreyu.
this song drives me absolutely crazy, the drummer's voice is so beautiful ooh my god, and the committed lyrics are just amazing, a Cameroon fan in Africa, you guys are the best. no to war
Atreyu was probably one of my favorite bands in my alternative metal band days. Glad to see them back. Definitely buying tickets if they ever come to Edmonton again.
I REALLY wanted to hear Atreyu play this song live on their 20th Anniversary Tour. It was one of the first songs I looked for in the voting pool they initially had before the Tournament of Songs for the setlist. Was soo excited to see it as an option. Sad it didn't make the tournament but that's how the voting went. Really good song and at least it exists!
Been a fan since i was in 9th grade im 26 this year lol I LOVE THESE GUYS im so excited for their new album and im so glad the drummer still has his amazing voice
BFMVrocks34 you lost credibility trying to flame others with a name like that. BFMV is one of the worst bands of all time. They sold out worse than metallica.
derek A) it was a joke. B) I made this account name like 6/7 years ago. Regardless, that's just your opinion. I think the music they made after Scream Aim Fire was still some awesome hard rock music and I really enjoyed those albums as much as the old, which is my opinion. Also when it comes to Bullet, I would say they didn't sell out so much as Matt having vocal issues and them looking to explore different elements of the hard rock/metal genre, they didn't go commercial or anything, but I digress. Just because I like a band you do not, that does not mean I have a loss of credibility. You judging someone based on a band they like and saying they have no credibility because of that, that's ridiculous. Music is art, it's subjective there is no factual good or bad, what is good or bad is up to the listener. Please learn to be a little more mature when commenting in the future. Thanks.
Yeah. Except that BFMV is a shitty band, and that is fact. Also, you do realize Temper, Temper was one of the worst albums of this generation right? It was panned quite universally as a complete shit album just like the rest. Scream Aim Fire wasn't nearly as awful as the shit they put out afterwards. And I couldn't give a shit less about what happens to Matt's voice, because the albums before that were shit too. They're all REALLY bad, and they're just a mainstream crap band who can't even play their own instruments and write the most generic riffs and solo's I think i've ever heard.
Best Atreyu song ever! I ran cross country with a woman, Melanie Clifton, that is still in the Army as far as I know. One of the most heart felt comments I have ever read or heard her say was that within a year of High School graduation one member of her graduation class was already 'Pushing up Daisy.' I myself have served (Blue: Navy) but I have mad respect for her. Especially since on my 'white' Wells family line we have served in the Military at least one member every generation since the American Revolution. I know people who have died in service of yours and my freedoms. And I have been on "The wrong side of a gun" for racial reasons not my military service. One of my favorite songs ever. Oh, by the way, Politically correct I am "Two or More Races." I identify as Triethnic: African, Apache, Cherokee, English, German.
I'm currently across the pond right now and it means a lot to see that we still have support back home. Ive been listening to Atreyu since grade school and it great to see that they still got it.
@@blakeconley9272 bro, you replied to a comment that was 10 months old, and back then, it was not on spotify. It didn't exist on there at all. Now, thanks to their deluxe version of in our wake including this song on spotify, I am able to listen to this song without having to pay money for sound soundcloud pro. Thank you atreyu for releasing this song on spotify finally.
when you listening a atreyu's song for first time , you always waiting for the drummer's start to sing for really knows if you like this or not , and i fucking like it !!!!
The biggest disgrace there is for a fallen combat vet is pissing your life away not doing what you are good at and passionate about, and holding yourself back from your highest potential to better your country... Freedom, Capitalism, and Liberty are the American Dream... I know that the video games are fun guys, but you haven't lived if you don't go experience real shit... Love Atreyu. Awesome tribute.
I wish they'd get a real fry screamer .-. I love Atreyu, but it's so difficult to really enjoy them as much as I would, if they had a screamer that sounds like those really tinny farts
Frankie Hiltz I actually agree with that. This type of music isn't a good sound for them. They should either take out the screaming and make real alternative metal like Alter Bridge or Chevelle or actually get someone who can give them some power. It's just not as good as From Autumn to Ashes was and I don't see the point of getting into a worse version of something good that's out there.
Well I guess the tiny farts thing was a little overboard, so I'm sorry if I offended anyone's taste in music o.o But like I said, I love Atreyu, but I'm just not a fan of the screamers style is all
Love these guys. Ridiculous energy. As a drummer I can't imagine singing and drumming. Awesome. This is from another dimension I'm happy to have discovered😊💪💪💪❤❤❤...✌
You can't find it because they gave this song away for free. Below is a link explaining it and tells you where to download it at www.blabbermouth.net/news/atreyu-brand-new-song-so-others-may-live-available-for-free-download/
Mattsnotyours Alex is taking an approach similar to what The Curse was basically, but with a splash of their last album, plus a few more 80's inspired soloing from Dan and Travis
Mattsnotyours if it wasn't for that 80's "cock rock" we wouldn't have cutting edge solos let alone guitar flips or flare of that sort, stage presence is a big deal, Alex still has his chops and yes sir you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, just giving a heads up is all
This is the band that got me into metal, it makes me so happy to see them back together. I damnear had a heart attack when I heard they came out with a new album
I have literally devoted ten plus years of my life to this band..... absolute favorite since I was 12 and I'm almost 25... still haven't seen them live. told my fiance its the only thing I could ever desire until I die.. tickets for atreyu.... ughhhhh whyyyyyy... must... see....
Sad most forgot about Atreyu until they heard it on a game, so many good songs and styles completely change....for the better...matured and aged wonderfully.
this band has been together since high school. that is real loyalty and dedication. The went on hiatus for years and just decided "You know what we're bored. Let's do another album guys." They do it all for the fans.
