I used to enjoy listening to the Japanese Intro of Rival Schools a lot growing up when i was still teenager:) I used to draw most of the characters on here in my sketchbook. I liked that the fighting game had extra disc called Evolution Disc. Another great PS1 game right here, that wouldn't mind playing again:)

I never owned Rival Schools myself, but I remember borrowing it once. And this song man, it's what stuck with me the most. Time and time again, the song came into my mind, but I couldn't remember where I heard it. Thank god for the internet, which made me rediscover it and Rival Schools itself.

This game is timeless....the characters were well loved and so diverse....down to the quick control response super moves and tag team tactic attacks this is where it all started this game had a lot of attitude and I just fell in love with it and there shoe designs we're superb....still my favorite fighting game hands down....capcom shined with this game those who tried this game in the arcade instantly wanted more of it....most Capcom players did not accept it because of it 4 button capabilities.....but if they even knew the game physics...its a whole different new game....still today I count it as one of the best!

This is the first time I’ve heard this in its entirety, only hearing portions as the intros to the first two games. This is so great I want an anime for it, even though the games themselves are practically anime and are THE best story modes in fighting games bar NONE!

Thank you for the lyrics, I need to practice this everyday. Im jealous that my youngest sister can accurately sing this song and say all these pronunciation correctly. I asked her how does she do that and she don't even play that specific game at all? She said that it's because I always play the game with tv volume surround sound everywhere, so at first she got sick of hearing the Japanese import songs I'm playing, then next day she grew to memorize it and love the song without me noticing it. And proceed to sing that song at a school talent show and won! I was still like wtf!

Oooohh... NOW I remember why I only have the "short version" in my playlist (since 2000). The extended version had that instrumental part, that (for me) goes on for a bit too long and bores me. I was always skipping it, when I had it on audio tape, so, when I got it on MP3, I chose the short one and totally forgot about this version.
