@Count Of Monte Cristo I'm hoping for that since Terry's stage is KOF themed, I really hope we get as many songs as we can like Street Fighter did, from all the fighting teams in Kof, Arashi no saxophone from the Yagami team, Esaka from Kyo's team, I hope it's not all Terry's team music thought the years, this is an amazing opportunity to get Kof music in Smash and I'm so excited!
I honestly feel like The King of Fighters franchise has the best music in fighting games next to Soul Calibur and guilty gear. I can’t wait to hear it in smash! Can November come any sooner?
@@NotaPizzaGRL Before SNK went bankrupt, the group had approximately 30 members and two teams -one in studio and one for recording arrangements. Arrangements were often played by Japanese musicians hired by the company and the studio team worked with their games' development teams to compose melodies. The group's selected genre varied from rock, techno, jazz, classical, folk, and others.
@@danielm.5078 I mean you're kinda right, just look at the tag frenzy thingy ending for Iori. I'd say he's a confirmed tsundere, but hey that's just my opinion.
Ages will pass, gaming industry will keep on improving graphics and story but there will be no match for KOF. Specially for 95,96,97 and 98. Miss oldskool days
Son Skeetto my beard has gone white now, I still remember of my school days when I use to bunk classes just to play KOF. First time when I learned desperate move of heidern and Choi in 95 was like winning an Oscar. Hahahahaa
I've been into KOF series since 2005, started with 2002 one. And with progressing years, I got into series more and more. Gotta admit, until 2000, we were being delivered with miniscule masterpieces! Shame they went bankrupt for a few years and let others develop the series which was a big letdown. Original SNK will always be in my heart, no matter what people have to say about the new one. The latest installment (XIV) seriously lacks substance, style and the idea of originality. Coupled with change of most voice actors which I know, of course they are quite old now, but they were the reason we knew the characters in the flesh.
Well, in 2003 the classic SNK was back, and we got KOF 2003 which was a great game. The following year Neogeo Battle Colisseum came out, which is a superb game. But I'd agree that the 2001 and 2002 editions were very weak.
Man, this theme captures the atmosphere present in arcades during 90s / early 2000's so well... I always associate this with the sunset in the evening because as a kid I visited the arcades after school and had to be at home before the sun went down. 😄
This version of the track originated in the Neo-Geo CD version of KOF 96 later ported to the PS1. Neo-Geo was always somewhat of a indi-console, but the production they put into the KOF series is exemplified just by this track alone. It's so soulful just like the King of Fighters games themselves, the charisma, and the the artistic flare is nothing short of fighting game magic. The developers put their soul into game that was never meant to be as popular as the Capcom fighting games, but somehow created something has last for 26 years.
Hex Maniac It was the original MVS version in the trailer, I wouldn't expect any of the 90's arranged songs as SNK don't seem to be able to use them anymore (or don't want to). No Arranged OST rerelease last year when they released loads of OSTs onto digital services, and the last time they touched one was '96 Seoul Road in 2011 for KOFXIII.
Julio Carlos Here, with MVS/AES I mean the original versions found in the MVS Arcade games and the AES Home Console ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OkrbSeIBIJY.html I think the Arranged versions were used for the Neo Geo CD and some PS1/Saturn ports.
ikr? i been watching a lot of casual match and tourneys of Mexican who were still playing Retro KOF Its far more thrilling and exciting than Touch of death fest of newer fighting game
que infancia, cada vez que escucho este y el del 2002 me recuerda a esos momentos con los amigos en las maquinas arcades, con las tortillas a un lado y enfriandose xdd
18 years have past and K.O.F 96 still is the best OST/AST for fighting games that ever existed!! 18 se passaram e K.O.F 96 ainda é o melhor OST/AST dos fighting games que já existiu!!
Anyone else believe KOF is underrated? Im commenting alot but i love the game and characters as a whole. Especially Iori. The guy is awesome. Dude is cool and play a bass guitar, he's only really sadistic when he fights Kyo. I mean this is a clan and personal rivalry so i understand. Aight last comment
@@saiko_oro Not popular enough to save them from bankruptcy twice over, tho. Nah, SNK is pretty niche these days, or was until Smash did it's magic. Seems to be everywhere, now. They really fell off a long ol' time.
@@SamWiseTheGreat Snk went bankrupt the first time because of their stupid corporate decisions and consoles, they never went bankrupt a 2nd time. And most people in countries like China and Latin America pirate their games so there's that.
@@yurionedge2199 With all due respect: I'm a combo maker. I try to understand the mechanics of a fighting game. Kof 96 is so broken it's a bad game on a fundamental level. Just watch glitches and infinites videos for the game.
You guys don't know how much money I spent for local jazz bands to play this for me for my birthday or any time im having a really bad week. Well worth my money
Chega da aquela vontade de lutar kkk, muitas composições de trilhas sonoras para games são melhores que muitas até clássicas, melhores que as que são mais valorizadas.
Tanki Moshitma Iori was designed to have jazz as his main focus musically. Kyo is rock and he never had a funky theme since 95. Even then the jazz in that theme is nothing like Iori's which is Fusion Jazz(jazz, funk, rock, soul depending on his theme)
The best AnS to me is 95. The best none AnS theme is Sadistic eyes. All of Iori's themes are on another level to all fighting game characters, Cool Jam 2 being the weakest of them all.
