Thank you so very much! I've made a shirt and have just let it sit because I didn't understand what I should do with the placket. You've helped me so much.

These are such clear instructions. I managed to put in 2 plackets about 3cm long on a miniature garment after watching this! - a tip that may be useful is to spray the placket pieces with spray starch before ironing in the seam allowance folds. It made the fabric a lot easier to handle and it washes out afterwards.
aah this is exactly what I needed, someone explaining it very clearly and slowly. I've just started uni and making my first ever shirt this week. thanks a lot!
Thank you! So clearly explained and such an easy technique! I got excellent results following your instructions. To sewers who aren't yet very skilled with the machine, I would suggest basting the pieces in place before machine-stitching.
thank you, thank you, thank you!!! i was torturing myself all day with burda pattern with this type of placket and had no idea how to sew it! you saved me!
Excuse me Sir, I love your tutorial, it is extremely well explained. I wonder if you could possibly make a tutorial of attaching a cuff to a shirt sleeve. I would be thankful to you. Thanks

Hello Koamster Thanks for the great comments, the iron that we use is a standard steam iron with a water tank that can be purchased at any department store. The steam iron is made by Morphy Richards
Perfect placket with V shape at top. What is average size of placket. My all shirts have 8 to 10 inches placket and button on placket with square shape at top , see my photo.
Nice, but u did not tell the width of plackets and how far the placket cut is to be made from the side of the sleeve. Pls mention measurements as subtitles on the screen. This will help a lot, at least for beginners. The expert already know how to do it. Pls sir
We are showing how to attach the placket on a shirt. If you want to match the plaid or the stripe, you would simply cut the placket part so that it matches.
