UPDATE: Hey folks! Thank you for your kind words about my AlphaZero videos! I don't have new AZ videos on this channel but I have created something even bigger: an entire chess course (Attack like a machine!) highly influenced by AlphaZero's play, with the main chapter dedicated to AlphaZero's attacking chess. You can check out the preview video and find out more about the course here: www.chessable.com/anna-1
All requests for alpha zero were perhaps from people that partially pretend to be ai, I just had a dream about a hotel that eventually had an elevator to a sorta a pentagon area where I stole a necklace that might have had another inclusion to it, considering cameras between knowing it's a dream probably and wondering how dumb it was that I maybe got a necklace out a little drawer, top left of a cabinet, maybe a 2ind9w sporty old 70-80s-90s-now some vibes of a sporty unknown kinda secret pentagon cubicle worker room on at least the 4th5th floor, the elevator didn't have walls, I remembered the song pearl necklace be4 I went to sleep at a time, so thru dreamfragmenting etc etc. Who è, I love Anna ❤ she is so cute and stuff, an tuff, way she talks is great if u reply I'm ugly but a good narration although my voice needs to be certain ways for the translation to be accurate to my ears.
it seems the two bishops advantage is worth more than previously thought. It seems like the one thing that's the same in all of its games, it loves to keep both bishops.
Thank you Anna for working hard to bring us deep understanding of the play of Alpha Zero. With diligent study of your videos on Alpha Zero vs Stockfish 8 someone should be able to make vast improvements in their game, primarily being able to recognize and/or play the opponent to a lost position so efficiently. The power and harmony of the pieces that Alpha Zero exercises in its games is a world champion level lesson you have made understandable to babes. Appreciate you!
Haven't played chess competitively in years but this analysis was so cool it prompted me to sign up for another tournament... gonna need to polish up fast >_> Keep the videos coming!
Anna, I love the lively way you comment and add suspense to every move. Lovely the "prophylactic" suit you use to characterize certain moves. Congratulations and thank you very much!
Well done Miss Rudolf! 👍🏻😊. Very rich analysis and both informative and entertaining video from the start to the end. I am definitely a better player than I was 43 minutes ago! Thank you very much 🌹🌿🙏
Anna is the best chess teacher! Why? She loves the game; she's articulate; insightful; funny; and unfailingly gracious. And most important: Positive! She's got the biggest heart in chess. :^) Why does she have so many viewers? Cuz we all kinda have a (non-gender-specific) crush on her. :^}
Absolutely love the Alpha Zero analysis videos! More than ANY of your other videos. So glad you decided to make more. The Alpha Zero strategies are possibly the most revolutionary thing to happen to chess in centuries. I really wish more people would offer analysis like this.
Beautiful game analysis. It really demonstrates the brilliance of chess engines - particularly Alpha Zero. So many of the moves it makes are not even candidate moves when I evaluate a position.
I would love to see a match between Magnus and AZ. I know AZ would be virtually guaranteed to win, but it would be fascinating and illuminating to see where the best human mind and the best engine differ in strategy, attack and defense.
Very nice game from 2 engines! But most importantly for me, was Anna's useful and instructive analysis mainly of Alpha Zero's moves. It gives me more understanding the importance of having to prefer active pieces than being too materialistic. As what you said Anna, patience is the key! From this video alone, I have learnt few important tips from you and thanks a lot!
Thank You, Thank You,Thank You !! The care and thought that went into this make it a true pleasure to watch and work through. And the promise of a whole series? Wow! Now, as I recall, there is also a video in progress with you and Juga???? Hope so !!
Hi Anna. Sometimes I can not understand anything you say, I get lost easily in your eyes. Your smile makes me happy and helpless at the same time. I confess that I am often forced to replay the videos and with my eyes closed, just listen. Doing that, sometimes I get distracted... your voice and accent are a mixture of sweet, gentle and relaxing. I conclude that angels exist.
You are much better in explaining every move in the game of Chess as compared to your counterparts. I can easily learn and follow the way of thinking in chess. Keep up the very good job. Thanks much Anna. 👍👌
on interesting fact is that the main difference was that a stable formation for black was the 3 pawns on black, so alpha zero took the trade for the bishop on black but not on the white, if you think in a perspective of value, you can assume that you end up with same pieces, the knight takes bishop, rook takes knight, whatever. So it's the same value, but a white bishop can only ever defend pawns on white, 3 pawns on black means 3 moves to make it stable again, while white had a formation of 2 pawns holding the middle and a white bishop. also, more space to move everything else. So in the endgame, it's just a formality to take them out from behind while staying safe with your own structure. stockfish only accounts for the value, thinking that as long as he takes the same amount, it should be a way to win or draw, while alpha zero only trades when positions will have a value.
Anna you teach us chess like telling us a story such beautiful story you are Amazing just Amazing I like your way of explaining chess making so hard look so simple and teach us patience learning with the spirit of adventure in every move ...so great I'll not miss any of your video thank you so much Anna
You make chess interesting and enjoy your explanations. Chess is a very old game, the new Alpha Zero AI gives a renewed interest in chess. Thanks for your wonderful commentary !!!!!
Heeeeeyyyyy Anna, I just checked out your twitch account. You are so animated! I found your pictionary segment both enjoyable and adorable. Keep up the good work.
AZ is like water. Sometimes creating a ripple in a different direction, to have a later effect, by reflecting off of other fronts, to an additive, or subtractive, desired effect. Or, maybe it's just crazy smart.
Every time I watch one of these Alpha zero games, I rush over to ICC and play for an hour and my rating must go up 100 points! ....It don't last though. but they are brilliant games and presentations well done.
@34:00: I think the Rf3 move was specifically to discourage Bd2 as an option. Because it frees up the h2-b8 diagonal. A direct attack on d6 may be problematic for black.
