Smoorez!! I have good news!! You CAN solder!! It's stupid easy man, just take an old circuit board, get your iron, your desoldering solution (wick or solder sucker or whatever) and start practicing!! Two things that will help, you heat the part with the iron for just a second then apply solder, don't try to apply it directly to the tip of the iron and then apply it, presolder the leads on whatever you're soldering onto the board then just stick it down, use the iron to reflow it all together and you're done! And as for desoldering you should apply just a tiny bit of flux or fresh solder BEFORE you remove an existing solder joint, it'll help the existing solder to liquefy, especially on really thick or really old solder! Other than that there's really nothing to it, and once you get it down you'll be grateful to yourself for taking the time to learn. And if you find that you feel like you kinda suck at it at first just remember what Jake from Adventure Time says: "Kinda sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something." And know that you're on your way man!! Love your channel, the long rambling videos are great just the way they are. Can you add the non-Android bootleg phones to the welcome firmware folder by dumping the emmc, nand, and/or flash chip of the phones? Id probably uncover Java games to add to kahvibreak or ringtones or assets and all the good stuff.
My iPhone 5 has survived everything from drops to 2 story falls. Well it died (kinda) last week when it came off my motor bike at 50kph. The thing is the screen has popped out and shattered. It powers on and the screen is fully responsive.

SoC should have the radios integrated, there shouldn't be anything external. I can see the flash chip near the SoC, or at least what i presume to be the flash chip. SOIC-8-200 chip, 200 is the length, it's the chonky version, 8 is the pin count. If i'm not mistaken its designation starts with 25 and a letter, that would be an SPI Flash/EEPROM, then capacity in MBit, the largest that you get super cheap is 128, which is 16MB, because PC mainboards tend to flood the market with easy-to-recycle junk, and they used predominantly this capacity for decades. The chip north of the SoC on the opposite side might be the RAM. MCM with all that integrated would cost extra, since you can't just reuse salvage junk. Stuff at the south end of the board should be all power and low-frequency linear stuff. Two years later, bandaids have stayed on. Good luck with the fingernaily bits there :( The hidden button might select bootmode when the SoC is first powered on, you need to disconnect the battery to test that. Maybe those guys were too cheap for automated pogo beds to perform initial programming and such. It's not really worth testing, given the only thing you will see upon successfully getting alternative boot mode going without whatever they used to program it is... nothing.

(Sorry for bad english) I would like to teardown it but i'm scared to broke it
bitch wah? i thought the iphone 5 and 6 where realesed in like 2016, the iphone 6s is considered the last good iphone and i still know a ton of people that own them, and even remember when it was realesed and i saw the crazy 1000$ price tag that was put on it in israel beacause it was new and old people would still buy the sexy, aluminuim big ass display, now iphones are just overpriced glass sandwich's with really advanced tech but shitty companys that just ruined the name. feels weird realising those phones are from 2013

Stress and anxiety got the better of me for years and since people are now watching more of my videos, I decided to cover them up with bandaids and seek medical attention to get them back to looking reasonable. I don't want people staring at them because I have had to put up with it for as long as I remember. It was my only stress relief so with some medical help and these chemical thingos, I hopefully should be able to break out of the habit. It's just eating me up inside. That's why I apologize in the videos for them.
