Armin: “Always with the killing. It’s like all you ever think about. Just like someone I know…” Eren: “I heard that you were talking shit and you didn’t think that I would hear it!”
Just to further clarify for Rana about Zeke's spinal fluid. Even if it is injected into someone with a needle since Zeke has Royal blood it won't turn them until he gives the command and any injection of spinal fluid turns them into dumb titans.
Been waiting for this ep. It's one of my favorites For clarification, I think zeke still used the gas with his spinal fluid, the lie was that that his spinal fluid doesn't paralyze the eldians. So both forms, he wine and gas, are what did it in each situation.
Children of the Forest is a great episode. 👍 Sasha's father's speech about the cycle of violence is very profound and his forgivness always makes me emotional. Loved Your reaction for the episode, Thanks! ♥
Sorta kinda love how Gabi's "redemption arc" is all about eating food from the family&friends of Sasha. Like i know Sasha loved to eat, but the way of the potato? haven't heard of it
Phenomenal episode, easily was my favorite from part 1. Definitely because of the sub/dub performances, but most importantly because of Papa Braus' message that foreshadows major scenes for the rest of the series.
The reason Kaya referred to Sasha as her sister is because she's the little girl Sasha rescued from the titan in that village in the start of Season 2 where we see her archery skills. Sasha's dad and other locals were the ones who found Kaya along the path while Sasha faced the titan. Kaya probably ended up spending a lot of time with Sasha and her family in the years afterword, but hell, having someone save your life probably creates a trauma bond-- especially for such a young kid who's lost EVERYTHING. I was a bit surprised Suraj didn't remember since this is a rewatch for him-- but have loved your guys reactions in this series so much!
You might have missed it from an earlier discussion but this was known to us! I think we were just wondering why the word “sister” was used when they weren’t actually related but of course it because of how close they just have gotten after that.
Lolz... Gabi/Falco: "We approach the POW cook and reveal ourselves" DM: Make a perception check Gabi: "1" Falco: "20" DM Niccolo attacks with a readied action....
I got this comment from another reaction video but I think its a good analysis of the Knife scene : The knife itself represents the ‘knife’ that’s passed around in the cycle of hatred. It’s something you CHOOSE to pick up and is also something that you can make the choice to put down. Sasha chose to shoot the Marleyan soldiers as retaliation for Paradis. In turn, Gabi picked up the rifle to avenge her home and killed Sasha. Out of grief over losing Sasha, Niccolo picks up the knife to exact revenge on Gabi and offers it to Mr. Blaus. However, Sasha’s father doesn’t want to continue the cycle of hatred so when the knife came into his hands, his wisdom helps him make the deliberate choice to put it down. The entire episode shows that the cycle of hatred is something that is spurred on by choice. If an adult makes the decision to put the knife down and break the cycle, peace can be an option. The scene with Kaya shows the importance of ‘keeping the kids out of the forest’ because you are shown firsthand just how easily children are pulled into the cycle of violence and how easily a cycle that is broken, can be kicked off again. The knife that was finally put down, is immediately picked up again in an act of violence because a child has a much easier time understanding her hurt feelings from her loss, over the consequences of her actions. That’s why it’s the responsibility of adults to make sure children won’t have to find themselves in situations where they feel as though they need to pick up a knife, and to teach them that even if they are presented with one, picking it up would be a fruitless endeavor that does more harm than good.
I get why ppl don’t forgive Gabi, but honestly after hearing what Sasha’s own father said, I can’t bring myself to completely hate her, just what she did.
Could you ever completely hate her? She's a 12 year old soldier raised around extreme propaganda, and her only experience with those people she was taught are "devils" was them invading her home and slaughtering her friends. Gabi is a fantastic character, and her de-radicalisation over season 4 is a great arc.
Something that really took me off guard when watching other people's reaction to season 4 is people's reactions to Floch. When I first saw this, I immediately hated Floch. And there was never a point in the show that I did not hate Floch. I assumed that was the intention of the writing. So it's super surprising to me that people actually like him or even take his side.
4 seasons in and they still take everything at face value, nicolo was clearly DEFLECTING!!! You saw it in his face especially considering how he felt about Sashas death
Pat distracting people from the experience of one of the best scene in the whole series saying that sasha s father is going to become a titan is to much for me, and Rana laughing... haha, there is some scene that you just need to listen and feel it.
One of the things I love about this episode is the metaphors it really flips the sides but at the same time mirrors them by putting Gabi and Nicolo on the opposite sides AND uses a subtle metaphor of learning from the past to protect the future. Sasha's Dad representing the past, Nicolo Representing the Present and Gabi representing the future. Gabi (an Eldian) took revenge for the death of Marlins. Nicolo (a Marlian) is willing to kill a child for revenge, after an Eldian he loved was killed. Then It puts Sasha's Dad in the hardest and most awful position of saying "no more", he's seen sacrifice and he won't "sacrifice" the next generation for revenge. Lastly Kaya filled with emotions and rage attacks Gabi, showing that we can't rely on future generations to end the bloodshed it has to stop with us and Mikasa (who represents a new present) grabs the knife before any further damage can be done.
Starting to come on why people hate the show and love it in such decisive bouts when the original season 1 was people crapping on it for being generic shōnen trash and just edgy violence for shock value to keep your attention. Those people are knee jerk reactors, who bailed and like to hate on hype shows because they merit it off if it lived up to their preconceived notion on a mind blowing show and if it's not in 3 eps they quit, instead of judging the show and how most shows work in 3 eps. AOT has a great first few eps hook, a bit slow for modern audiences but mystery and action is all you can hope for with sprinkles of drama in 1 hour of tv. People expect too much.
@@YanaPetruk True true. I’m with you on that. Erens character is sooo complex, one of my favorite characters in TV! I just remember how shook I was to see how the conversation with Armin and Mikasa goes in the next episode. The episode is called “Savagery” for a reason 😅
@@truth_speaker8143 crystal? Eren never had the chance to master the war hammer abilities, also the colossal titan transformation is an instant nuke, how is Eren going to use an ability that he has no mastery over in an instant.
Remember when Floch was a coward? Facing a guaranteed death and surviving sure changes a person. He said there must be a reason for surviving and that reason was to bring back the devil that they needed. Eren is that devil.
This is one of the episodes if not The Episode of this season I’ve been looking forward to seeing ya’ll’s reaction to! Yeah I just said y’all so what? Sasha’s Dad uses Y’all all the time 😆❤️
Floch's actions are questionable but there's no denying that he's pretty cool this season. Also we saw the poisoning of the wine in episode 10. Most people just forget about it.
//gabi gets punched// sub crew- OMG *shocked gasps* dub crew- HELL YEAHH! (love them both tho, tho it surprises me how unhinged the dub crew is(yeah im looking at ya Rana.)😂
