Sandlerme Watson I think both Jiyuu no Tsubasa and Red Swan are equally underrated. Red Swan because people didn’t like it for some reason (I saw people hating on it but I personally liked it a lot, it made me feel incredibly sad though) and Jiyuu no Tsubasa because...I don’t know, why does no one talk about it-

Sandlerme Watson It was mainly because they were used to the “action packed” or “hype” openings like Guren no Yumiya or Sasageyo. I thought that reason was kind of dumb because not all openings have to follow the same formula, and plus using an action packed OP for the first part of Season 3 wouldn’t fit at all so I’m glad that WIT decided to animate an “action packed” one in the second part.

Speaking of foreshadowing, the ED in this season, great escape, is also huge foreshadowing.... And it’s literally in the *first season.* I’m pretty sure that Isayama wasn’t in *t h a t* part of the manga (aka Season 4, not gonna spoil anything) at the time of the first season, so you have to applaud him for that too.

Did anyone realise they teased Reiner and Bertolt being a spy at 0:24 they show a flash a of all the characters being on the left facing the right but as it gets to Reiner he’s on on the other side but still looking the same way as everyone else so u don’t really notice it then it goes to bertolt who’s the same as Reiner and then it gets to Annie who’s fully on the right facing left and it stays on her for a bit teasing that she will be revealed that season

0:19 - 0:25 is another great detail in this OP We can see the cast shouting to the left (Jean, Connie, Sasha, Ymir, Krista/Historia), indicating they are working towards the same goal. Then we see Reiner and Berthold started to turn their head to the right slowly but not fully to the right yet. Meanwhile, Annie is the last cast and turned her head fully to the right meaning the time has come for her to start the "warrior" job and OPPOSE her soldier comrades.

I started watching AOT a few weeks ago for the first time, and I am addicted. I am from Austria and I got so suprised when suddenly first all these german names came in, and then the opening literally mixed in german words with japenese, and I never knew something like this could bang this hard. What a masterpiece, my favourite by now and I just finished season 2. So ready to get into the next ones!

Yeah attack on titan is based off/ in Germany and alot of the names are German or close to it, like erens name is spelled different than Yeager but most fans don't speak German so we just say yaeger but its spelled in the way you spell hunter in german , reiner braun, bertholdt apparently, could be wrong, and so on

@@khattab5351 Yes but aot is kind of a special case in this respect. Isayama has been known to work very closely with the anime team. He's gone so far as to say that the anime is the true version of aot he always wished to create. Regardless of if they animated the bullet then he adapted it later or vice versa, it's clear that he worked very hard to put accurate foreshadowing all over his work and it should be commended not blown off.

YALL I JUST CAUGHT THIS, so in the quick part where the supporting cast is being shown, the order and position they're in show their connection to eren and foreshadows who's hiding something, first jean sasha and connie are closet to the left and at one point we see both sides of their face, showing they're on erens side and not two-faced or hiding something, next ymir and historia are in the middle and we only see half of theirs, showing that they're somewhat on erens side but have a secret, then the warrior turn a completely different way from everyone else.

People, this is a national anthem laced with symphonic power metal and ungodly levels of animation and foreshadowing. This is one of the best openings in anime history.
