@@sastaassh1112 More like... To avenge himself, which faced the outcomes of an unjustified act and with the compiled emotions of sorrow, agony, and anguish that he felt during most of his lifetime… such a cluster of utter darkness turned into an everlasting burning fire of vindication for everything.. from the robbing of his mother from his life, to destroying the very beautiful concepts he ever cherished (freedom for example) So his war isn’t about an idealistic rationale but rather a personal one that was based on a social injustice he felt with the poor masses of Paradis... He saw himself as a rightful Divine punishment for the poor decisions his enemy made.
@@dr.josephmq773such a unique story, what an absolute masterpiece. Everyone is basically fighting for their freedom you can’t really call anybody wrong. Even when the “enemy dies”, Bert hold for example, I felt kinda sorry.
No, he’s the fallen angel. This art style depicts the painting of Lucifer by Alexandre Cabanel as the fallen angel which is representing Eren in the video image.
@@williambobson3369 Yes he used to be in Paradise , yes he was an angel , yes he rebelled against god by choosing not to bow for our Father , Adam because he thought of human as inferior since he was made of fire and we were created out of clay, and so he was descended.
Same when I first heard Eren's roar in the anime and this song was playing in the back I got goosebumps and legit wanted to cry. I love that scene because as Mikasa was about to give up she remembered Eren telling her to fight but at the same time she hears Eren shout "fight!" Eren too, makes his appearance ready to fight. My bro already spoiled that Eren was a titan back when I first watched it when season 1 dropped, so I already knew what he looked like. The spoiler was shit but knowing he was that titan in this scene just made it so much more emotional 😌 it really sealed the deal for me that this was going to be an amazing anime.
This drawing of Eren is directly inspired by a painting entitled "Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel which depicts the devil crying in rage after being driven out of heaven by God, a powerful painting that I invite you to look at.
@@combineforce9596 I’ve been thinking a lot about it and I realized that Lucifer, Eren, and Anakin have very similar stories. All three were once on the side of good but strayed. from the path due to internal fears, isolation, and taking actions that would inflict suffering on the innocent. The “Fallen Angel” painting depicts Lucifer after being cast out from Heaven for rebelling against God. He is supposed to be the embodiment of all that is wicked and evil. But if you had no knowledge of that, you would look at the painting and see a young man visibly angry and frustrated. But most important of all, you would see his tears. He’s in pain. He is in agony. He was one of God’s most beautiful creations. But he instilled fear and instigated rebellion to those that he loved and now he is alone. And there isn’t anyone left that can help him. All three of these characters are just boys. All three would be set on the path of darkness and mass destruction because of what they lost. Lucifer lost his family. So did Eren and Anakin. I can’t help but feel sympathy for them.
@@cashwat210 I would say that because of their urge to create good for the people close to them, they end up becoming a villian. All Eren wants is what he thinks is good for Eldian people (freedom and ending the war). Because of his suffering and losses he falls to a pretty extreme way of thinking and in his eyes, the only way of archiving this goal is the mass destruction of all non-Eldians. It actually has some similarity to what Hitler did in Germany. It is not that those people planned to do evil or decided to do so, but it is that they always have been wanting to do good that drove them to a point of insanity that makes it hard for them to differenciate between what they think is good and what other people might consider good and what one might consider evil. Those fallen angels also seem to blame certain persons or people for what their personal suffering and they often are so into their own ideals that they won't see the logical implications of those. For instance, what even is "true freedom"? In a world, where all of us have loved ones and are afraid of losing them, this fear will keep us enslaved. This is something Armin really pointed out when he said that all of us are slaves in some way and he is a slave of his own moral. Eren is also a slave of his own ideology. And he fails to see that total freedom means that everyone can do with another person what he wants and that this will be linked to that other person suffering or having his own rights and freedoms cut. And don't forget that lucifer as the king od hell, is also the angel who punishes "the sinners/the injust". Hell functions like a prision for people who disobey god's law. In that way, Lucifer is still following god's interests.
I dont have the words to explain how this anime had an impact in my life. I grew up watching aot, now im 23 and the end is coming. I hope Eren gets the freedom he wants and deserves. And god, his scream at 7:00 is just so heartbreaking. You can hear his anger and determination to protect the ones he loves. He will be my favorite character until the end
Man, I will miss the feeling of waiting season 2, 3, 4. I'm a manga reader, so seeing thing turns out in anime is refreshing. Just like you, I grew up watching aot, I was 12 when my brother introduced me to aot and now I'm 21. Damn, i wish i can rewatch again without knowing what's going on
@@Section8Warrior Floch was a fascist who enjoyed killing people who didn’t align with his beliefs while Eren actually had some morality. No surprise there.
2:13-2:55 is so relaxing and Beautiful yet emotionally sad and prideful at the same time. I can see that part of the music be playing in a scene where there's a Victory, Motivational Speech, Death and finally a Peace scene. It's like I can feel all the emotion and see a lot story just from this part of the music.
@@winghiddenangel i would cry so hard but at the end of the manga, they show a child looking at a war or something and they are near the tree so maybe this song could play there
Im 24 and I start this anime since It came out when I was 15.... the first season was so amazing, so unique, everybody liked it but then the hype whent down, but the story, the sountrack, the expression everything was something that I have never seen in other shows. It became my favorite anime.... but then, when the next seasons came out, I just cant believe how PERFECT it was. It wasnt just a story about persons vs titans... it was so much more. I think that any other media cant make me feel what AOT did. Its a fucking masterpiece, and you can say whatever you want, but AOT is special, unique and its the best thing that I have ever seen. I wish I could erase my memory so I can watch it all over again for the first time ever.
OMG finally I found someone feel as what I feel 😭🔥 I'm also start watching it since 2013 when I was 14. AOT is really special for me and it will be in my heart forever ❤
He truly taught me to never accept how shitty things this world throws at you and fireback with any willpower (be it even darkness) , as long as you survive for yourself.
Overall it's not a good sentiment, if the world backs you into a corner and you respond Only welding your own inner sadness and rage you will soon find you have become the very darkness you set out to fight
Of course when AOT OST is slowed it transforms into something akin to Hans Zimmer’s work. It’s already amazing on its own; without any editing. One of the greatest stories I’ve ever read and some of the greatest scores I’ve ever heard. Regardless how people feel about how the story turned out and if the anime adaption takes a different turn or not, it remains blessing to have known it.
Bro ever since aot came out, i wanted to watch it but wasnt interested in anime, so 3 weeks ago i decided to watch it all. I have to say that AoT is one of the greatest things i have ever watched, cant wait for the part 3 of the final season
@@Cptraktorn not the same eldians inside the walls tho, and that happened because Eldia and Marley were alwys at war and the manga doesnt ever tell us who started the war
@@nilaypandey9397 not really, there was already a conflict, slavery was probably really common even before Ymir, titans was what messed everything up even more
I feel so honored to be part of this anime community! We are all from different places, but we are still connected because of it... Love from Brazil!♥️
i just finished reading the final chapter… this hits headset than it ever did. i’m crying tears of sadness, the story of Eren is over, the story of attack on titan is finished. It’s surreal. I’m also crying tears of joy and elation, this story, even though a tragedy, was beautiful. this story will truly remain one of the greats.
Reiner vs eren last battle roars are just insane and the sub where eren roars with his titan is freaking insane you can see his determination towards his goals and the pain too
To preface: I'm 23 years old and have seen/heard of "Attack Titan" since I was 15. I think what people fail to realize with this story is that there is no morality in war. If you really dislike this anime I suggest you give seasons 1-3 a rewatch. Shingeki no Kyojin is a tale of humanity, and how it struggles in the pursuit of freedom. Eldians around the world are persecuted simply for being born, and killed without a second thought. To snuff out that "evil" King Fritz knew Eren Yeager would finish what he started, thus he never participated in the war. There never was a kind king, only a hope that love will triumph. If we as humans want to discuss this work, we must realize that the overall picture Isayama is trying to paint us is the flames, shadows, and embers of war. We can discuss semantics and character development all day but what we would be doing is overthinking, the antithesis of the Scout Regiment who struggled to be on the world stage with almost no information nor outside influence. In an informational war, nobody reigns triumphant. There is just loss on every side. Thus I think strongly that education should be the main priority to prevent some braindead "suicidal maniacs" from emerging.
This is probably my favorite rendition of this song. You can hear Eren's pain in the roar. All he wants is for his people to be safe. He never wanted to murder the world, but it was the only choice he had to save his people. He wanted nothing more than to save his people and be with the woman he loved, but fate said otherwise. He willingly became the villain so his loved ones didn't have to. He became a mass murderer for their sakes and made them into heroes. He became the devil so his people could become angels.
Not gonna lie, the roaring kinda caught me off guard and I jumped a little 😅. I gotta say, though, it is a great addition and I'm glad you added them in, because this song conveys a mix of rage and pain.
I will always be Eren team once he show his true colors, because there is no way others don't expect them to bite back when you're attacked; sacrifices shall be made. It's impossible for everyone to be happy at the same time. Song and artwork showed perfectly what Eren turned to be, and it fits him, it's real and terrific while human.
Through an action, A Man becomes a hero. Through death a Hero becomes Legend. Through time, A Legend becomes a myth. Through hearing a myth, a man takes Action.
I remember being 13 years old when AOT was introduced to the world. I loved everything about it. I would not shut up on how great this show was, I remember coming up with theories on the origin of the Titans and how the "last of humanity' came to be. I used to have this song on repeat on my iPod because of how much I loved the OST. Love the edit homie.
Holy fuck the buildup was insane. Once the climax hits, I felt the horror of all the seasons hit me at once. Such an iconic piece of music. It will stand the test of time.
He really taught me on how to never accept how the shitty things in this world throw at you and fireback with the darkness in your willpower, somehow people confuse about the positive energy and negative energy, we can never live a life that are separated from both of that thing, but as long as you keep living with what purpose you serve (as long it doesnt interrupt anyone), go on with that energy, to live this life is hard so find the core reason be it anything for you to keep striving even if you have to throw your good side ;)
The boy, who insatiably sought freedom, yearned to be a bird that would soar above the heavens, above God. He violently tore himself from the “shackles” of humanity, the “cage” that was the world. Thus, he discarded his humanity, and destroyed the world. Thus, he put himself above God and all that was moral. Thus, he became The Devil, and all the while, he kept telling himself: “I am Free”
It's not relatable at all.. he went through living hell and it's a hell that no human can handle without losing it, having his mom and friends get eaten alive in front of him, having to find out the 2 friends he looked up to and respected a lot were the enemies who were the cause of his mother's death along with many more, feeling like he was never supposed to be born at such a young age, finding out his gruesome future after kissing Historia's hand and knowing that every day that passes, he's closer to not only his death, but the death of millions of people more.. and was forced to become a villain to save his people.. just like he told Falco when he was still in the Marley hospital, "Anyone who knew they'd end up this way would never set foot in war, but something pushes them onward. That something is not their own will, other people or their environment made them do it. They're looking for something beyond that hell, it might be hope, or it might be yet another hell. Only people who move forward will know." I feel like he was also talking about himself through those people. He never wanted war, but he was pushed to do it because his land would be invaded and everyone would die if he did nothing and had no choice but to just go with it now. No one knows what's in the guy's soul but him..
When you are so disappointed in life ,nothing is motivating you ,you are hungry but not making the food just lying in the bed and the suddenly you found this video and listening to it while screaming of pain and crying , tears flowing through eyes ....... I deadass still remember being 12 and randomly deciding to watch this back when this first came out and still have yet to see an anime top it in terms of story telling. And that includes the ending
This has been my favorite Attack on Titan ost since I first heard it in 2013 when watching season 1. It spoke to me and I didnt understand why in my youth but now I do. Its primal in its nature, featuring both the awe inspiring, untaintable beauty of life contrast with the inescapable cruelty of existence. Its Erens song, to the boy who cast him self head first into the forrest in search of lost freedom only to lose himself along the way. To the boy who would become the devil he fought to protect those he loved. Its my empathy to this boy who is frightened and alone.
