In this video, Putin takes the place that Eren has, but in reality, their situations and intentions are simply NOT comparable. By no means should anyone identify with Putin or agree with his actions.
It is neither meant to draw any parallels between fictional and real places. Ukraine and Russia should NOT be compared to Eldia and Marley, because there are no titans in the real world. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is complex beyond description, while the conflict between Eldia and Marley basically boils down to who has more titans.
To me, it's really not hard to pick a side. If Russia puts down their arms, there will be no war; if Ukraine puts down their arms, there will be no Ukraine.
Any similarities to actual events in the future would be purely coincidental. Or maybe it's a spoiler :}
