My grandfather actually fought in this war, the second creep war, and when I showed him this all he said was that it was a massacre, storming those beaches.
Whoever does the editing for this, and the music choice, you deserve a reward, really making the sight of a bunch of little brown blobs surging across the map feel like an epic climax.
btw Tom one thing I'm not sure you're aware of with these styles of PAC maps those skimmers, they drop creep when they don't get sniped... sometimes when they do too... I don't know why that is BUT, they're an amazing fast delivery service for creep, they rival field gens sometimes but with less force and more of that powerful stun so yeah combing blobs and skimmers is SUPER strong though ofc the Thor's are a nightmare for them.
I keep finding myself watching creeper world videos and thinking to myself "I could do that mission better than this person" but I never actually even owned the game so now with this year's winter sale I finally picked it up for myself and let's find out if I'm as good as I think I should be based on everything I have learned watching others play Update: I Know what I'm doing i just need to figure out and get used to all the hotkeys.
I tried using an extreme amount of those creep generators, but they take so depressingly long to build that I eventually fell back into making insane numbers of blobs too. I did it on a completely different map of a similar concept but I bet going absolutely nuts with airsacs would work too, once you blob some of the first defense lines.
I brute-forced hopping my way through to the cliff face and just guarded a launcher to keep a blob popping the pylon lines to ruin them. mostly because I didn't realize until I did that that I had all the Shaper addons lmao

I love playing these map0s that give you blubbers and sporlies and all that. Nothing better than blinding yourself with a million spores popping onto your screen at once
TLDR; Stashes generate way more creep than emitters if you place them in deep creep, as they will charge much faster. They're not meant to fill the same role as egg generators. I think the reason stashes keep disappointing you is because you're trying to get the to fill the same role as the egg generator. The stashes aren't meant to generate a huge wave for a big push like the egg gen, they really fit the role of creep generation like the emitters. The difference between the emitters and the stash is that while the emitter always gives the same amount of creep (great for areas with little creep like your frontline), the stash actually gives an amount of creep (over time) that increases with how quickly you can get it to charge up. This means stashes will generate much more creep than emitters if you can plop them down in a safe, meshed up area with very deep creep. Practically, if a stash outputs, say, 1K creep every time it triggers, the faster you can make it trigger, the more creep it will generate. A good way to see it is emitters being early game/frontline generators, and stashes are lategame/scaling generators.
I definitely need to go check out some of these maps now. Also, I can't help but think of the hilarious theme song from the old film _The Blob_ as you see them approaching en masse like that.

A red error message covers the screen. “unable to lock-on”. You stare in bewilderment, this has never happened before… through the intercom you over hear “Mother of god!?! MULTIPLE SPORES INBOUND!!!” You turn your head up to see the night sky brighter than the sun. Sweat drops down your cheeks and you grit your teeth at the seemingly near infinite spores light up the sky… “we will die here tonight”… after you silence your minds worries. You gather what little courage to stabilise your shaking body. “But not without a fight” you unload thousands of rounds… internally shouting to yourself “just one more, just one more, if I shoot this one maybe one more person many not die”…. Silently waves emerge from the crashing of spores. You fire till your body runs silent.
If you like blobs then you should play the map:"Blob PAC" edit: using 4x speed is actually better because it takes 30 ingame seconds and not 30 real life seconds to get a boost
the thing is the last area was full of anti-creep so blobs targeting the main base thing shouldn't matter theoretically because they literally had a tower of anti-creep but the blobs just ignored the anti-creep and hit the structures winning the game, Tom still would've won but this glitch needs to be fixed.
Tom turning a game about shooting spicy water into a colorized depiction of the Winter War is something i didnt expect today, but im very happy it happened
