Love the chatty weekly vlogs you’ve been doing so much! I was showing my Dad your Mum’s garden, and he absolutely loves it! We were laughing so hard at the bit where your Mum accidentally spoiled four novels at once, and the way she denied it at first made it even more hilarious. 😂 So happy to hear you’re feeling better, Lauren. I’m also relieved that you gave yourself rest while sick because it is so important to allow your body to focus its energy on making a full recovery. This is honestly no word of a lie. When I worked in the opticians, I had a day when everyone phoned in sick so I was literally on my own waiting for support staff. It gets to lunch still on my own. Apart from the optometrist doing the tests. I sit in the cubby area, to have a quick sausage roll as not eaten all day. He comes out to get me pocks his head round and says " oh she's stuffing her face". I've never forgotten. Also I was walking down the hill from work, in a comfy furry winter coat, and these teenagers start singing " what's that coming over the hill, is it a monster" again never forgotten. These events were years ago. Xx

Had a creepy middle-aged AV tech in my high school in the 1980s who was allowed to run an all-girls choir after school. He ended up driving some of us home (ya, wtf?!) and, as I got out of the backseat of his hatchback (he was in the driver's seat) he said something like: oh, you're bigger than I thought when compared to the size of your head. First of all, what a creeper. Second of all, what a thing to say to someone. I've never been able to not see that when I look in the mirror, even when I have got my weight down, for over 40 years. Words can stick, for sure. (Meanwhile, I found out from a friend that she was 14 years old and he was kissing her in his office. Of course, in those days, we didn't question things like we rightly do now.)
