A lucky survivor with Attend Buses, formerly Redroutemaster, is 3-speed Voith equipped TA538. It’s regularly seen on SWR Rail Replacement, I was rather pleased when it turned up here!
The retarder on this is quite harsh and equally is the gearbox at times, but it makes all the right noises for one of these and was quite nostalgic having grew up around NXWMs equivalents.
This bus was serving Rail Replacement for SWR: Ascot to Reading, direct via Bracknell
