In an interview with 60 Minutes, Attorney General Merrick Garland said he was disappointed when he didn’t receive a Senate hearing for his Supreme Court nomination, but he had to "shake it off."

Furthermore, by appointing Jack Smith as special council he has taken himself out of the equation as regards Mr. Trump. The evidence passed muster with more than one grand jury (our fellow citizens). You do the crime, and there is ample evidence of multiple crimes (what, 91 charges?), you do the time.
