ATTRIBUTE MONSTERS GO IN THE CLEAR PRISON [ Archetypes Explained: Clear World ] 

NOVA Scale Novelty - Plenty of decks, whether explicitly or implicitly, have been some flavor of Attribute Matters, but very few of have focused on Attribute Punishing. This makes sense, as you can't control what your opponent is playing, so you're either using effects that won't work, or are so targetted that it can cause big salt for the opponent. Clear World strikes an interesting balance that will enable it to work against EVERYTHING to varying degrees, and while the addition of Clear Wall takes away the modular nature of the punishment, but it's still an identity all it's own. 5/5. Objectivity - The punishment from the field spell is actually pretty tame, with LIGHT being the only potentially debilitating effect. If anything Vicious Knight is know the big unfair card of the theme. It's not a TOTAL lock, but it's almost impossible to beat through monsters alone, and in combination with the field spell's constant drain on our opponent, as well as being able to read our opponent like a book, I can see some heinous non-games arising from any brew that involves this deck. 4/5 Versatility - While not necessarily synergizing with any other decks, with how small the engine is, you can splash this into a lot of decks, and because we aren't an Extra Deck Theme, only things that lock us out of types or attributes restrict our usage, which is getting less and less common as time goes on. Adding Hand Knowledge and a Skill Drain will raise the ceiling on most decks, so don't be surprised if you end up facing down Vicious Knight next time you sit across from something like Labyrinth. 4/5 Awesomeness - Sadly, I'm just not super excited about this pile of cards. Clear World is cool, but Clear Wall basically takes away what makes it special to make it more useful. That's good for the card, but it also means that very few of the new cards are going to see play because of how good these cards are. Cube and Rage Golem won't make much play in hybrid builds, which are the only ones we'll be seeing for quite some time. And honestly, perfect hand knowledge is such a ridiculous advantage, especially when there isn't much you have to accomplish to get that knowledge. 2/5 Total: 15/20 Thanks for reading! Small world is pretty good in here too. Every single monster in the deck shares nothing with each other besides being dark, so you can bridge anything with anything

They need a continuous spell that add more immediate detrimental effects based on the attributes for a more aggressive game plan.

Funny you mention the butter bot from R&M, as this deck is basically Nihilism the archetype.

I’m surprised there isn’t a continuous trap or spell that makes the detrimental effects activate at the end of the player turn. That or an on theme card that lets you decide what attribute the enemy monsters are.

I don't really run extra deck monsters in clearworld. They don't have any of their own and even with Clear wall you'll still be subject to clearworld's effects when you're controling non clearworld monsters so i tend to play the deck pure. For other support options i run march of the monarchs since our boss monster is a tribute summon, field barrier for protecting clear world, trade-in for draw power, return of the dragonlords for reviving Clear Vice Dragon after it's been pitched with trade-in or phantom, generic field spell searchers, and my personal favorite tech for this deck, Dark Honest. The deck is all dark so it works with them and it's thematically on point Since Fujiwara used og Honest before his fall to darkness. So with this his favorite monster gets to be at his side supporting all of his evil endeavors.

so far i have found the best combo is adding in an ice barrier engine. it is a weird combo but it works for some reason. i win more often then i lose with it

The only thing I want is some synergy with the Nemeses monsters (which are themed around a bio-diverse world), where the opponent suffers the effects of your Nemeses monsters on the field (or maybe banished) instead of you.

They need his Field spell to have the added effect can’t be negated and it’s unaffected by all of your opponents Card and monster effects including from the extra deck to make the clear world field spell viable

0:20 Atticus claims that yet I can't find any nickname for him involving European Royalty. Actually on second thought that might be evidence for his dueling skills being better.

This archetype needs more Spell/Trap support to enable different playstyles and make the strategy you DO have a but more sturdy. Clear Wall is definetly a good start, mainly because it encourages playing their boss monsters to make the Field Spell more actively devastating. But I'd love to see some protection for said Field Spell since, right now, the archetype is almost as fragile & reliant on it as pre-support Malefics and Earthbounds which is NOT a good thing to be compared to.

Clear archetype finally got some supports after 10 years from GX. 🎉🎉🎉

I think this archetype needs more support before it becomes a good enough option for competitive play. But currently, I think we would have to use Kaijus to make this deck work.

Why not just give the Clear World monsters the Divine attribute? That way, they can't be affected by Clear World.

Mighty number 9 has nothing to do with what happened to mega man legends. Capcom cancelled the demo for a new legends game well before MN9 happened.
