Wonderful nostalgia

It's Christmas on ITV and Flash Gordon will save every one of us. Also, John Cleese for Sony, Midland bank, and a children's Nativity.

I wonder if they showed that first promo in the North East... as Malcolm Brown calling Middlesbrough, "Middlesborough" may have resulted in calls to Tyne Tees calling them useless! (The average viewer being blissfully unaware that the promo was made in Manchester).

Sounds like Malcolm Brown on the network promos, who would've been at Granada at the time.

Guy in the Crest ad was in Crown Court and The Sweeney... Married Kenny Everetts wife I think?

There was quite a few picture jolts between ATV & (I presume) Thames in London....& I thought Tyne Tees, the region I live in, was bad !

The way Marathon candy is packaged, looks like the UK version of U.S. Snickers.
