For carbed atv i suggest zhuoran brand electric pump from aliexpress.. neet to make a y connection so it will pump exxes back to the tank. I used the reservoir tank hose for intake and exxes will go back to the tank thru the upper hose aka the normal tank outlet. Works perfect on my 05 outlander 400. And the pump fit inside the airbox 👍 i put a switch for it under the seat so it acts as a extra security when i park my atv. Took power from the 12v outlet.
That hose was likely suction to actuate the diaphragm inside the pump and create the pumping action... and I would find better coupler for that air intake into belt housing, looks pretty restrictive, perhaps add a piece of PVC inside that tube with a 3rd clamp to keep the size closer for flow.. now that hose going forward isn't just pulled forward and should just connect to cover?
if it were the fuel line you would have smelled fuel since it would have leaked, but cannot see which hose was which there, 1 from tank, 1 to carb, then a suction to operate the pump from engine...
@@vihreelinja4743 2 hoses from tank go to selector valve then 1 hose from selector goes to fuel pump suction side, a vacuum line for the pumping action, then an output side that runs down to carb. I would add a filter on run down to carb as those filters in tank are fiber and they break down over time...
