ATV Hauling Logs With Our Homade Trailer

If I didn't see it with my own eyes I would have never believed that ATV could have towed that much weight! I'm impressed!

When u are loading a trailer like that be sure to have it in rwd, u will have more then enough traction and then all the power goes to the rear wheels.

Honda double duty log trailer puller and mosquito killer fogger. Better keep a eye on the oil level. Like the way to change trailer for different wood lengths

Those old Honda engines go forever and pull like a son of a gun. I once watched an atc200 pull a 14 foot fiberglass boat and a trailer with another atc on the back for 10 miles and the engine is still going strong.

Hi,Cecil.You could see the load applying downward presure onto the rear wheels of the quad.Which will help in muddy conditions.Good progress made on hauling wood i'd say.Keep it going.

Hey, question for you: do you find that you have to refill / top up your quad's oil regularly when hauling a big load like that? I pull quite a bit of wood out of the forest and found my oil low on occasion. Sorry for the off topic question but you look like you are doing what I'm doing...

Invest in a new 4 wheeler, you won’t be sorry, I suggest a Polaris Sportsman, it’s a belt drive but it’s got high and low range gears, so pulling a trailer won’t be a problem, I own a Polaris Sportsman 700 twin and I pull up to 2500 pounds daily however, I don’t abuse my tranny considering anytime a pull anything I make sure it’s low range, I haven’t put a new belt on my 4 wheeler for 14 years, and it’s an 03 model!
