We rode this system late August. We could tell the some residents there wasn't thrilled about atvs going by. We was doing like 25mph when a few larger sxs blew by us like they was probably doing atleast 50. This kind of crap will get this shut down.
Understood. We saw the signs and its just common courtesy to not dust out the whole place if people or residences are around. I am hoping people will be more responsible and keep this pilot open. Just the money alone won't keep it open if all of the residents have noise and speed complaints. We will see.
Love this entire system. I’ve been camping in Lyman Run as it is ATV friendly. Please take the time to answer the survey sent out by Penn State… it went out to all who purchased a pilot permit. Let’s hope the program continues this season.
I agree. I think most states won't, but they need to realize it can be a financial benefit to communites if done properly. Extra traffic and customers via ATV/SXS into town. Just having to sell it to the public, I think is the most difficult for people running the show.

Actually, whether you come from Simpson, PA or Hancock, NY I am not aware of any legal trail to get you there. Looks like over 100 miles from the O&W to the eastern-most area of the ATV Regional Pilot system. I'll leave this comment here, maybe someone else is aware of something, but my guess is no, its all outlaw if you did or you'd have to be road-legal.
That's freaking awesome 👍 Now can we somehow get Schuylkill county on board with something like this. I'm sure it would not be hard to connect most of the Reading anthracite parks and some of the DNR trails. 🤷
Would love to see this pilot connector extend from Route 6 at Ansonia go up to Harrison State Park on the East rim and then take you to Wellsboro for fuel and food. I hope that the State has plans to extend their trails on the east side of the Grand Canyon. Please write letters to Pennsylvania DCNR to let them know how pleased you are with the pilot connector program.
