Lillian Azizpor and Chelsea felt the need to tell her daughter. So now her daughter is thinking Paisley isn’t her sister. And Cole is feeling upset because he wants Adam to do the same with Aub. And Randy was confused on why Cole feels any type of way. I agree though Cole is still a good father. I just think Aub is to young for all that mess. Poor thing.

I completely agree!! I can 100% guarantee as Aubree gets older that making the decision to have Cole adopt her will definitely grow on her!! Cole is not only a great husband to Chelsea but a great father figure to Aubree. As for Adam he will never change his immature bad boy ways. All he cares about is himself, body building competitions, fancy auto vehicles, doing things that he knows will get him into trouble with the law, meeting different girls, hooking up with them, and abandoning them awhile after finding out the news that they're pregnant. But, anyway I'm so happy that Chelsea found Cole I can tell that he's got everything she's ever wanted in a husband and a father to Aubree, Watson, and Layne. I wish that there were more guys like Cole!!

I understand completely that Adam has abused drugs, missed visits and important milestones, and he has done (or failed to do) what it takes to be a parent. Aubree doesn't see her dad as some kind of bad guy, most likely because Chelsea was also able to shield her from some of the awful things said about Adam. Aubree doesn't know the extent of his issues and rightfully so at her age. Yes protecting her from the pain of her dad coming in and out is a major concern for Chelsea but we as mom's also have to give our kids the chance to make their own decisions and figure things out on their own. Aubree's journey with her dad is hers to take. She knows she will have Cole by her side but she's always seemed like a bit of Daddy's girl which is what Chelsea wanted in the beginning. I think the best case scenario would be if Adam did come around for Aubree.

I can't really agree with almost anybody in this thread, to be honest. Chelsea was a teenager when she got pregnant, I seriously doubt she was thinking "I'm ready for this man to father my child" at 16/17 years old. Adam has proven time and time again that there are many things more important than the children he helped create, and that is extremely toxic to children. Why is it right that Aubree has to suffer because Adam can't be bothered to give her the time and attention she deserves? The father she deserves? I know everybody always comes back to the 16 and pregnant episode where he told Chelsea 'tell me where to sign my rights to that mistake' but had he made an effort in the past nine years to actually step up, nobody would have to. That, there, could have been an impulsive, childish thing to say, but it's not. Adam doesn't care. If Chelsea and Aubree weren't on television, he would have jumped ship years ago. He likes the attention having a "famous" daughter gets him. I do agree that Chelsea has done a pretty good job of keeping Aubree out of the middle of all the drama. One day, when Aubree is old enough, she will see for herself what kind of person Adam is, and hopefully she will make the decision that he is not what she deserves. Until then, Chelsea and Cole will continue to do things the way they are and hope for the best. It's a tough situation all around and I can definitely see why Chelsea just wants Aubree to be adopted because imagine being a mother and watching your child suffer through the things Aubree has had to go through with her dad. Your instinct as a parent is to protect your child at all costs, and when somebody threatens their well-being (physically, mentally, emotionally) you want to cut it off at the source to keep them from feeling that pain. It's also hard for Aubree because I do believe she is a sensitive kid and she doesn't want to hurt her dad's feelings, despite the fact that he is letting her down over and over again.

100%, in a similar situation with my kids, their bio dad is not in the picture, but they have an awesome stepdad who loves them as his own, and gladly takes up that role everyday, but they were also 3 and 1 1/2 years old when he bowed out completely. I think Aubree just holds out hope for Adam which is sad, but she will always have Cole regardless, I think she just knows that if Adam ever did come back and want to visit with her he wouldn't be able to do so and she's not ready to let go of him, he's been the only dad she's ever known until Cole came along.

I wonder too, if they've thought/talked about the fact that Adam might sign over his rights on his own. Because he already agreed to give up one daughter, he might decide he would rather not have to deal with all the legality and financial burden that he still owes for Aubree, and I'm pretty sure they can't stop him from freely giving up his rights.

But the way I have always felt is that Chelsea didn't want Aubree to love her dad and I think it's because Adam hurt Chelsea by not wanting her. Adam could be the best father ever but Chelsea would probably still not want Adam around. She even said to her dad once "Cole is here now, so Adam can just go away." She is pushing this whole adoption on Aubree when she is clearly not comfortable with this decision right now and it's not fair for Chelsea to just try and erase Adam out of Aubree's life because Aubree loves her dad. Chelsea talked to her privately, first, and probably to make her aware of what was going on and allow her the opportunity to express her feelings on it and answer any questions Aubree had about it. Asking Aubree if she would be interested in the same thing is showing respect to her feelings and letting her be in control of that situation, which I believe is absolutely correct, because if she wants to still have a relationship with Adam who is Chelsea to take that away from her without her consent? The way you build trust with your children is to show them you respect their feelings, and if Chelsea snuck around behind Aubree's back and got Adam to sign his rights away, how do you think Aubree would feel?

there is a significant difference between being a father and being a dad. Any man who willingly skips out on important things with his child, like visitations, isn't a "dad". What Adam does to Aubree does more harm than good. Aubree seems like a sensitive kid, so she doesn't want to hurt Adam's feelings, but she's still young (as Randy said) and believes there is still good in everybody. Just because Adam is all fun and cool whenever he manages to show up for her doesn't mean he's an awesome dad and he should be allowed to continue to do the things he does to her. Nobody wants to see this kid get hurt. She seems like a sweet kid and in time she will see Adam's true colors. At least she has somebody (Cole) who shows her how a dad should treat his children.

You obviously do not understand adoption. He may be biological, but Adam is not and has NEVER been Aubree's dad and since Cole came into their life has been a true DAD to Aubree. Adam is a piece of crap and was only a sperm donor.

Chelsea is my fave on the show. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her talk too bad about Adam in front of Aubree only like in the moment when things happen like the other episode when he didn’t make it to the visitation center in time. I do think she’s pressuring her in this situation though as if Chelsea herself didn’t run back to Adam hecka times until Aubree was like 3/4.
