You can't see who the author is, but they make you believe you're somehow special, privileged to able to read about "the truth". Well, more than other franchises, I think each Child's Play flick has itself been kind of a reboot. Like, I'm not at all upset that this happened, but if it were Freddy or Jason or Michael I'd be pretty honked off.

I think it's because 1. It's so different from the original series that you can't really compare the two 2. Mark Hamill 3. The original franchise is still going on regardless

It's honestly a very entertaining film and stands on its own.
