@@derichardson7491 you can have the same number on different sides of the ball, but if both were on the field together they’d have to wear a different number
My cousin is Clemsons Parker. We were all at this game. I'm a UGA guy and have been to Auburn a number of times including the for us great 2002 game. But That was the most electric crowd I have ever seen. That year with cam for Auburn was magical. But this randomly came up on my feed so I had a watch. If this game was played today About 6 or 7 of auburns players would have been ejected for targeting and about 4-5 of Clemsons would have too from just these highlights alone lol. not to mention the Fairly play were he did a flying head but to parkers rib cage further breaking his already fractured rib lol
Just imagine how much football history changes if that offsides is called in OT😂 everybody’s lives in Alabama are definitely much different. The butterfly effect is crazy.
Also, on the other end, this was the year before Dabo brought Chad Morris to Clemson. Say Clemson wins this game, they probably don’t finish the year 6-7 and fire the OC. Chad Morris’s high octane offense is what initially made Clemson a contender.
As a CLEMSON Fan this game still hurts me to this day. Because we had every opportunity to win and we didn't. Also didn't help that I lived in alabama at the time
I was at that game and every game that year in fact...Regardless, that game was the most physical game I have ever witnessed in my 5 decades of playing and watching football. Great game...the best part was Cam's Halftime Talk to the Team...check it out on a video called "Auburn Every Day Clemson Game 2010" r something like that....Both teams are likely still sore from that game...WOW!!!
I almost puked when the flag flew in 0T, and you can see the refs calling offsides, but I remember a guy Saying they had double snap the ball, and when you go back and look at it you can see it, but hell just for a second I thought we were offsides also. Not a big Dabo fan but this was a great game And a hell of a season WDE
Clemson had it to. Could have kept cam out of the championship and the heisman and the number 1 pick. Panthers might have actually won a super bowl by this point. the ripple effects from this game...
1. Alabama should not have played for the title in 2011 2. Alabama did not play the second best team in 2012. I’ll give Alabama 2012, even though especially today it looks silly that an undefeated Ohio State didn’t make the national title game for something that is literally legal today. However Alabama has a lot of suspect national championships - some of them where they really shouldn’t have made it and some of them where they flat out did not play the best teams….. 2009 - How in the world Texas made the game over TCU (there is no explanation for this other than money) 2011 - The selection of Alabama literally contradicts 2006. 2011 Alabama making the championship game rests entirely on the premise that Arkansas was a juggernaut team, because that’s literally the ONLY ranked team Alabama beat. Thing is Arkansas went 11-2, and beat 1 ranked team before Bowls. That team was #8 South Carolina. So now Alabamas entire premise for making the title game is based on the premise that South Carolina was a juggernaut team. Why was South Carolina #8? That’s a great question seeing as they lost twice and only ever beat #22 Clemson. Probably had something to do with the fact they were magically given a #12 Preseason rank out of nowhere seeing as they ranked #22 at the end of 2010.* Meanwhile 12-1 Oklahoma State beat #13 Baylor, #15 KState and #16 Oklahoma. * Which btw if you need indication that BCS rankings are suspect af…… 2010 TCU finished #2. In 2011 TCU started #14 - funny how that happens….. TCU would also go 11-2 and beat #6 Boise State by 1. Did they make the Top 10 like South Carolina? Nope, they got ranked #12 by Coaches, #14 by AP, but somehow #19 by BCS - cuz logic somehow……
