UCLA was doing SOOOO good before that last rotation. They have so much potential for this year! Their roster is off the charts I’m SOOO excited to watch them this year. Only half a tenth behind Oklahoma going into the last rotation?! YESSSSSS.
the difference between this ucla and the one from last year is already night and day. once they get beam figured out they're going to be so solid this year. they said on twitter this is their highest season opener score in 18 years!! 😭😭💖💖 thank you janelle
I really admire Laurie for being able to say that she would give Suni some tenths off. She was honest and i love that she didn’t baby Suni because she’s the Olympic champion. I think that’s great.
That conversation at the end with Sunisa Lee and her elite coach Jess! Too cute!!!! Sunisa Lee is a legend and she continues to amaze me every week! So excited for what she does in the next two years!!!
Watching this fills me with joy. Seeing some of these ladies in elite, while they are great there as well, is not nearly as satisfying as watching them truly enjoy the sport & seem healthy mentally and physically. 🥰🥰
They're just very different styles. The LSU girls enjoy that kind of dance, it suits their personality and also... very few ncaa gymnasts would actually have the stamina in their fitness to do a ucla routine. There is no wasted second, everything is timed to the second and each move flows into the next, no room for a breath. That's why ucla are understandably viewed as rhe best floor team in ncaa (regardless of scores) their routines are just so much more difficult cos of the choreo
@@KT-mj9kf - Please, the scores are what count. I agree they (UCLA) are very entertaining on floor, but certainly not the best. If they were, the scores would reflect that on a consistent basis. In gymnastics, you are what your scores say you are.
I loveee Audrey Davis, she would be literal perfection if didn’t cross her feet on her the twisting elements.! Either way she is basically perfection ! Love watching all these amazing and talented women compete !
Love Laurie as a gymnast and person but I just don’t like her commentary. She says a lot of the same things over and over and tends to be a little biased I believe. Again, love her personality outside of reporting, but I much prefer a Sam Peszek or Alicia Sacramone alongside John Roethlisburger. It’s simply about critiquing, everything doesn’t need a comment and it shouldn’t just be constant chatting. I mean no offense to her I just prefer others styles more as a viewer.
well this is only her 2nd year commentating right? Sam and Alicia have way more experience. I'm sure she'll get better but she also have a fun, bubbly personality so that'll reflect in her commenting.
I didn't notice that as much as I cringe every time she talks in a little kid voice or says slay 😅 I know it's her personality but it doesn't feel like it fits the vibes of a division 1 event compared to other sports. I think it is helpful when she provides background info related to judging & skills for people who are less familiar with gymnastics, though.
Thanks for uploading!! You're a life saver. I'm no expert but it seems like the scoring looked pretty good overall? I haven't watched all meets but at least the scores aren't pissing me off lol. Hopefully the judges get it correct and consistent throughout the season!! Also, love how excited Janelle is 🥺 Ready to see ucla flourish this season!

How is no one talking about the fact Jordan chiles and Suni lee were on the OLYMPIC TEAM together and now they are competing against each other since Jordan Chiles is on UCLA and Suni Lee is on the Auburn team
I was really surprised to see M Frazier back at UCLA. I assumed she would have transferred bc she seemed very unhappy with UCLA last year. I guess I was wrong😊
They’re not even skimpy. They’re leotards! Not like they’re out there in bikinis like female volleyball players. Do you expect male swimmers to cover up more too? Or just female athletes?
