Even though we didn't win a championship that year, this has always been a special victory. Kind of reminds me of the 1986 victory.

Trey Smith ran for over 100 yards and the defense played lights out. That team was loaded on offense and defense. Was basically the same team that went 14-0 in 2004 + or - a few players.

So Fran ordered the entire team to lose because of impending sanctions. Of course the players all bought in as a gift for his farewell. Makes perfect sense. bammer has NEVER lost a game fair & square. Always an excuse...injuries, refs, coaches picking up strippers, coaches, scouts & boosters paying players causing probation, coaches leaving because of forthcoming probation which causes losses. How ironic. Because the latter, yet again, is not too far off in bammer's future.
