Man I miss Rod, I like Andy and think he's done an admirable job taking over for Rod but hearing Rod's voice was the highlight of my fall weekends as a kid from 2010-2018. He truly was my favorite announcer and I doubt that'll ever change. Thanks for posting this gem of a game.
Dude, thanks so much for uploading this. Great job! It's one of my favorite games to re-watch. Plus, I had never heard the Auburn Network call. It's always great to hear Rod's voice again. Miss him still...
I was a freshman at A&M this fall and was at this game. When Johnny was sacked at the end of the game, I’ve never heard Kyle Field so quiet. It was the beginning of our season going to shit, and the beginning of a very very special season for Auburn.
Amazing as always. Thanks for the post. I remember some awful calls this game, Auburn had a lot of questionable holds, A&M with a lot of missed PI, and we did get away with a horse collar at the end.
By the horse collar rule at that time, it was the correct call. They have since modified it to include the name plate area of the jersey, which is where Kris Frost grabbed.
@@rscotta831 It was a horse collar tackle by any definition. It was the classic example. Had it been called as it should have been the game would have been won by the Texas Aggies.
@@larrymor Wrong. By the horse collar rule in 2013, it was the correct call as Frost grabbed the name plate area to take Manziel down. Did not curl his fingers up and around the jersey collar to take Manziel down. Learn the rules before spouting off on things you clearly do not know, including teams and their nicknames. There’s the Texas A&M Aggies and Texas Longhorns, not some metamorphosis of the two schools. To boot, you cannot say with any certainty the Aggies would have won had they been awarded a penalty. They still had to score a TD, which they never did. Scoreboard.
