I did this for a uni assignment. it actually turned out alright I think. Hope you enjoy! (Oh, and I do not own the rights to the music or any of the images or footage in this video).
Prediction: This will be completed by 2050. I’ll check back in then to see if I was right. I’m sure the RU-vid algorithm will recommend this video to me once every 10 years or so, so I’ll be able to refer back to this as the decades progress.
For a long time, this airport has been a major issue for those of us trying to get in and out of NZ. It would be lovely to see them prioritise the traveller.
Auckland airport is New Zealand's longest ongoing construction site. At least the 2nd airport and a new car park are being built and the new integrated terminal is suppose to start in 2022. With regards to the rest of the grand plans, that is up to the pesky virus on going mayhem and disruption to global air travel and boarder controls.
If you choose to live near our main International airport (which has been there longer than most who live there) well get over it, don't complain about the noise, and get a life! The City council needs to butt out...
If Downer have the contract don't expected it to be done on time or for the money they quoted. Also, expect it to be unusable as a runway with about 6 months.
Good video, nice old photographs of the old terminal. i remember it well because in the early 1970's my grandparents from Europe would visit and the place was more open, you could see the passenger arrivals area separated from the passengers only by a high number 8 wire fence. Also remember going to the coffee shop upstairs while they waited to board.
Just a little update as off current date and someone who works out at the airport: carpark construction has almost completed and ground level is now the transport hub and drop off/pick up area. Construction has also started for the connection from international into domestic airport so it will be big airport.
A380: Knock knock. Res. below, Who's there? A380: You may not know me, but I'm your famous noisy bird that flies anywhere. Res. Ohh man, not again. Bomboclaat! A380: Just passing through for some coffee.
We had relatives that had a section there, they had to basically "hand it over" so the airport could be built. Of course, they would have been paid out, but they had no choice
Thanks man! I’m working on 2 other ones at the moment. Unfortunately university studies and working at Melbourne airport have meant that I’ve had very limited time this last year to work on them. I’m nearly done on one for Melbourne Tullamarine Airport!
